I find that the selection is significantly better than Prime Now's. That's the point of difference IMO. Both give really good service.

EDIT: Also I find Shipt prices to be a bit lower.

I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

FWIW, you can create a free account and window-shop the selection and prices before dropping any money on a membership.

I actually heard the Summer Girls song that this thread is named after the other day. First time I've heard it in years.

Which made me wonder: why is this thread named after a song from 1999?

Just placed my first order. Was really pleased with the selection and app design. Can't decide if it's worth the $14/month since I also have Prime, but we will see.

If you like it enough, obviously worth it to consider doing the $99 for the full year. Significant savings over paying month-to-month.

I never felt like Prime offered enough selection to get me away from grocery shopping entirely (except for alcohol...that's the one thing that Shipt doesn't do).

Dammit. HBO shows all being pulled off of Prime Video in about a month.

I figured I just had forever to get around to watching those. I suppose there's time to binge-watch one series if I really committed to it.

Are all The Sopranos on there? Never seen it, but probably should get around to it ASAP if available on there.

+1 Silicon Valley, I love it.

I wouldn't want to commit to something like Sopranos, Wire, GOT etc if you only have a month. Hour long eps.

Yep. You could knock off 28 1/2 hour episodes in like 2 days

Another +1 to Silicon Valley, I started watching it after it was recommended itt and have watched 2 1/2 seasons in the past week or so (would have prob watched it all in a day or 2 if I wasn't watching with my gf, is one of my fave sitcoms ever).

Mitch Haniger's hot start has been abruptly cut short, since he just suffered an injury that looked to be surely DL-worthy (strained oblique).

I just can't drink the kool-aid, Halpert. To the extent that this Mariner team could have been good, their luck has been awful, and they can't keep all the key parts on the field.

They've definitely run pretty poorly with injuries. Also frightening is that Felix - while a decline was expected - is much worse than I imaged. The positive take aways is that when Segura went down, Motter stepped up nicely. Paxton has been great. It's a long season.

Yeah Felix was pretty horrible tonight too, and for that matter it isn't clear whether he was pulled for poor performance or for a physical issue of his own since he got pulled between the second and third.

I mean, obviously I'm still watching, but the season has been painful even though the hole isn't that deep yet.

The rest of the division minus the Astros is god awful too. Like, Texas has one of the worst bullpens I've seen in ages (and I've seen some reds games) and are somehow better than two other teams.

I don't discount Seattle's chances at landing second in the division. That doesn't seem that far-fetched. I'm just heavily discounting our chances of that being good enough for a WC.

Yeah, I think there's a couple interesting factors though. One, Houston is also dealing with a lot of injury issues. Two, their rotation is a big question mark. Musgrove has been much worse than I anticipated for instance. Their BP is very good, but they still have a lot of issues.

So the report on Felix is that he has a dead arm. On one hand that can offer an explanation of last night's suckage that goes beyond "he just isn't good anymore." On the other hand, ****.

What exactly is a dead arm?

Also, good to know Madbum decided to go all Jeff Kent on the giants this season. Of course, if I was pulling a sub 2 run support number, I might think of crashing my motorbike too.
