I run bad at life. First that scumbag hasnt paid me 1100 from Fantasy Football. Now I was let go from my job and they are trying to keep the last 4k they owe me.

No i was 1099 and commission only. They are claiming I committed fraud on my sales. Ive already talked to a lawyer. They have broken soo many laws. My ex-manager told me my check for this week was coming. His manager told me today they stopped payment on it.

I havent gotten it yet. Thats how I found out they stop payment. i usually get it Monday unless there s a holiday. I assumed they lied and didnt send it. They are idiots. They should have just paid me the money they owed.

According to the lawyer I wasnt supposed to be 1099 because they gave me a schedule and had me training people. It will work out for me in the end. Just have to make it that far. If they think Im going to settle after not paying me they are crazy. Least i would settle for now is what they owe me, legal fees and damages

Well sure, a settlement should be at least enough to make you whole. I'm not saying you'd hopefully settle for less. I don't know the details or laws in your area to know how open-and-shut your case is though.

What is a 1099?

1099 is like an independent contractor. Pretty much meaning I am self-employed, pay my own taxes etc

40% is pretty bad, but I think 35% is industry standard. Hopefully there was a violation that includes punitive damages so you can actually profit even after paying your attorney fees.

Woke up this morning to a 3 foot tall snowdrift all the way along my walk to my car. Saw a jeep rollover on the highway on the way to Saskatoon.

Every highway from Saskatoon out was closed except for the one I take. . . until I get here and they announce it's closure. **** has to be pretty bad outside here for highways to close, so this stuff is messy.

Aside from that, we have some sales reps in town from Missouri who says he has only seen snow once in his life, so this is quite new for him. The Canadian national curling championships are in town this week (The Brier) and we all went to the bar after work yesterday to watch some ends. He just could not figure out the sport. It was good times.

I just picked up some ticket for him and one of our sales reps for tonights draw and they're going to go check it out live, and then at the Brier Patch afterwards my buddies' band is playing. Gonna be solid.
