I just got all 4 of my wisdom teeth yanked at once and my whole not wanting to take painkillers thing has me watching hockey and staring at the bottle of T3s on my coffee table.

This is the worst pain I've ever felt and I've broken/fractured bones, strained muscles, and pulled groins. My request for only local freezing was denied because my bottom 2 teeth were too ****ed up, so they had to put me under as well as freeze. The freezing is wearing off now and I'm so close to caving.

Do you have dry sockets? Worst pain I have ever experienced

I don't yet. Just got them done a few hours ago. They say the fist 24hrs in the worst (barring dry sockets, of course).

never heard FOMO before this thread.

Take the painkillers.

I had all four of mine out when I was 16; they put me out for it. Still have zero memory of the car ride home.

I did play basketball three days after that, so, you know, it gets better.

Obviously taking the painkillers is the correct answer, but I'm guessing it's still a non-starter for someone who is anti-ibuprofen.

Nah, I took two ibuprofen and one T3 as instructed. I couldn't handle it any more. I don't like the feeling, but Jesus I was in pain.

I got mine out when I was sixteen. Don't remember a bit of it. They gave me valium to deal with nerves before hand... and I ****ing loved it. I felt a supreme sense of ease and peace and played MK64 for about an hour before we left and everything was in slow mo. Don't remember the procedure or the aftermath but that feeling of euphoria the hour before stuck with me.

I'm glad I don't have an addictive personality, otherwise I could totally see how someone can get hooked on pill popping.

Obviously now on the DL as well.

Eliud Kipchoge just came within 25 seconds of running a sub 2 hour marathon on a track with pacers in Italy. It's not an official WR (that remains 2:02:53 or so) but how thrilling to see what the human body and spirit are truly capable of.

Yeah, they are definitely running poor on the injury front. Luckily you get to face the Rangers bullpen a bunch though. They are legit worse than I've personally watched in quite some time.

On another note, keep meaning to check out Silicon Valley, but then I see previews of it with Gabe from the Office in it and just have my enthusiasm sapped. Just don't find that dude very funny.

After that post about Paxton's injury it started to get almost comical when we lost two relief pitchers to injury over the course of three pitches (only one of the two to the DL, as it turns out).

They said during the broadcast today that there's a chance that Paxton, Felix, and Haniger all come back during the next homestand, so if they can have a good road trip with these two series at Philly and Toronto, maybe they can finally get hot.

I don't want to infect this thread with politics, but I lol'd seeing that Trump quite literally future endeavored the FBI Director. See the last line.

That's definitely a relief. Allow me to amend this instance of bitching:

Iwakuma now on the DL as well. That's 4/5 of our opening day rotation out at the same time now. Still, I admit that it feels like there remains a chance of turning this season into a successful one.

Also Burdz is right about "future endeavors" being a long-term standard well before the folks at Titan got a hold of it.
