Anyone watch Smackdown last week? I haven't watched Smackdown nearly as much as Raw in the past year, but have been a lot more recently with my DVR. Watched last weeks this morning and I was stunned with how much I enjoyed. Anyone know who is booking these days? It was like the perfect wrestling episode. The Michaels/Batista bit was cool, mvp hardy was as good of a free match as you can expect. I even enjoyed the random russian guy, great gimmick coming out to no music.


Also, Jonathon Coachman, ever since I saw him on the MSG network doing Knicks Halftimes this fall, I wondered how he would continue in the WWE and his move to Smackdown is awesome, he's almost like Jesse Ventura, a straight color analyst with a pension for heels.

Anyway, I hope the WWE continues with what they are doing tonight because, I've really enjoyed the last month or so, it really feels like its coming back.

I guess I forgot to say he's awesome strictly on the mic, and shouldn't be wrestling...but I also thought that was common sense.

just weighing in... i feel like finlay/jbl is being pretty underrated around here. considering what they had to work with and that they had to open i thought they did pretty well.

FWIW I feel like their just floating through the next week or two until they do the draft. Outside of Batista and HBK doing some very good talking there was nothing good about Raw tonight.

The guy who is booking it is Michael Hayes aka Doc Hendrix. He was also going to take jbl's place in the commentary box before coach but didnt think he could run the show and commentate at the same time.

Raw was shiitte last night, I read Russ's booking comment right before Regal came out and knew what was gonna happen.. In fact watching these old clips on youtube is getting me really depressed.

Heel Ausitn, Face Austin, as long as it's post KOTR and before he left the active roster it's all good.

I just loved how fast he was in the ring, best example I can think of is when he threw Matt Hardy over the top rope in a tag match and then rolled under the bottom as fast as he could to stomp on Matt some more. No posing in the midle of the ring, he had business to attend to.

One of my favorite memories still has to be the Angle/Austin milk truck bit. I'm so glad they added it to the "Best of Raw" DVD collection.

Bump because HHH is the new champ and I'm going to raw on monday.

This Mike Adamle stuff could be good, but I'm sure they will beat it down to the ground. The bad joke bit was great.

Having not watched ECW at all, I was happy they did this on RAW for all of us who don't watch. Adamle is awesome but it all does sound a bit contrived and not natural. Still funny though.

And there we have the end of the piper segment, which makes me just embarrassed.

I looked away. I couldn't imagine a segment featuring Piper + Cryme Tyme that would be interesting.
