Predictions, in order of what i think will be a good match:
Miz vs Dragon I would bet this is the opener. Dragon will look strong and hopefully the two get some good time to tell a story. I can see two scenarios. Miz somehow cheats to avoid losing the title, maybe faking an injury like on Raw or the classic count out loss, maybe a DQ. Dragon gets the win, Miz keeps the title, queue somewhat interesting promos on Raw on this setting up some kind of gimmick match next month at Hell in a Cell. Alternately i can see Miz trying to fake injury, refusing to quit and give him the win, then deciding to walk away and getting the loss but the Raw GM emails Cole and restarts the match as no count out in which case Dragon goes over and Miz has an excuse to further claim he was injured when he lost, he was cheated, yadda yadda.
If i have to choose one then Dragon wins by DQ (interference by Riley), Miz retains. Next month they go for a full cell match so Riley cannot get involved again.
Six Pack challenge. When 6 wrestlers go at it there is always the danger it just becomes a ****ty spot fest with no actual story or anything in play. Start with spot one, quick cut to spot 2 with another pair, then cut to the third pair doing another spot, now back to the first pair etc etc. But it is just so damn packed with talent how can you not expect some cools spots to come out of it. The question here is did Jericho extend his contract and that more or less concludes my prediction, lol. He has told no one, or if he has they have told no one. One thing i expect is Sheamus doesnt retain and he doesnt get pinned. Wade doing the job is the obvious pick, but it makes Nexus look very weak if he does so i dont think they will do that.
So, two options again. Jericho doesnt sign and he jobs to Orton. Jericho does sign and he beats Cena, but probably in a goofy way like Nexus somehow get involved and Cena takes 15 finishers, then gets shot in the face and he still kicks out of the first cover which was by Orton who is then dragged off by Jericho who then steals the win. My money is Jericho did sign and he gets the win but i dont have any strong reasons why, i just dont see him walking away now and i think Vince would rather give him the cushy limited house show contract like Taker has that he wants than see him walk over it.
Kane vs Taker. Taker has been looking weak. He loses but only through some kind of cheating with Hell in a Cell being the next PPV and this obviously being the perfect timing for them to end to the story. Kane wins by unseen cheating.
Big Show vs Punk - Punk really really needs the win. Some kind of interference to get it maybe, but i hope he can go over clean.
Dolph vs Kofi - Err, no idea. Honestly. With all the dirty finishes ive predicted it turns into a TNA PPV if Vicky gets involved and Dolph wins dirty given the ridiculous stipulations. Given the number of heels going over i gotta predict Kofi just for the way the deck is stacked in his favour but i do kinda expect a Russo goofy finish like Vicky somehow costing Dolph the title.
Tag match - Hart Dynasty vs someone they havent announced yet. ****ing awesome build here ldo. I would guess it is Cody and Drew McIntire given they beat them on SD. There arent any face tag teams i can think of right now so i gotta assume Harts retain. If i knew who it was id probably rate this match higher but i refuse to.
Womens unification match - the only match i refuse to rate the mens tag match lower than. This will be a ridiculous botch fest, liking end up starting the LayCool split, probably involving Michelle going over and not giving Layla a match. I just cant see Melina winning, she is just too rusty and the first (technically) unified womens champ is the kind of honeymoon present from Vince to Takerette i can see happening.
I'll prob get it tonight.
I see Miz retaining for a little while still because I don't see him cashing in the briefcase for a while and the belt gives him an excuse for more air time.
I don't see Jericho winning anything ever again. I feel like the match is going to go: something happens between Wade and Cena and that sets up the Wade/Cena feud, and then Orton and Shemus get HU for the belt, Orton prob wins and that sets up the Orton/Shemus feud.
Taker/Kane, I can see arguments for either person winning, but it seems like it should just be build up to HITC so it seems like the easiest way to get there is Taker winning by some fluke way and Kane using his rematch clause to set up the blow off match. If Kane beats Taker there really isn't any build up, plus kayfabe-wise, it seems like other people should be in line to challenge him. So if Kane wins, the only way the match will get any traction will be if he drops the belt between PPVs, and being on Smackdown I doubt that's going to happen.
UNLESS Kane wins and Miz runs in, cashes in the MITB and becomes the Smackdown champ. I'd mark out pretty hard if that happened, but the probability is really low.
The rest of the matches I don't really care about. I love Punk, but I hate Show matches.
....just remembered that Miz can only cash in his case for the Raw belt. Taker has to win just for continuity sake.
