I mean, to offer a disclaimer, I really don't. Like most lawyers, I got the basic law school education and then began specializing in one area of law, and much of what I had to cram into my brain to spit out onto the bar exam has fallen out. Taking the complaint as true on its face (I skimmed it a bit; I didn't read super closely), yes I think so. If one party reasonably relies on another to their detriment and can prove that this led to them being damaged, they can recover accordingly.
I don't exactly know how Colt can establish that he would have simply caved to Amann's lawyer's demand letter and gotten out of dodge but for Punk's representations, but if he can then his complaint seems reasonable.
