Short but great. I'm sure a lot of us can relate -

It appears that my name has turned green; thanks to the regs who endorsed the idea.

I only wish there was a Jeff Jarrett-like figure around here so that I could conduct a Vince-style firing from the final Nitro immediately upon arrival.

Given how lax this forum is, I fully expect smooth sailing. This place is like the anti-POG in terms of tone.

I'm disappointed you didn't change your avatar to Jack Tunney.

I'm still kind of amazed that they ran an angle in the 80s where Bad News Brown openly accused Miss Elizabeth of doing sexual favors for Jack Tunney.

Nay to jack Tunney. I would want Brad Maddox as LKJs new avatar. Best authority figure in recent years

Big Johnny was definitely the best in recent memory, but EMc used him as an avatar.

That said, I could probably still warm up to shrinking the "No!" gif down to avatar size and adopting it.

Meh; I took on JohnnyNo.gif for approximately 60 seconds and then went back to De Niro.

Also I don't know why but I still mark out at Vince firing Jarrett. That night was so insane to watch live and to see Vince do that after hearing all the stories about Jarrett gave me goosebumps. Vince has said a lot of crazy things on camera but usually they are to advance a story line or some other agenda, this was something else.

Went to a house show for the first time in about twelve years last night.

Marked out for Goldust.

Booed my lungs out at Roman Reigns, but I was in the minority.

Overall, nothing too great. It was fun, but I've had more fun at Indy shows.

Anyone have an idea on how much decent tickets are to Wrestlemania? Thinking around spending $250 or so. Am I sitting in the nosebleeds with that?

If the above is correct, $250 will buy the very highest nosebleed seats.

Though, looking at last years prices, the presale prices were $38-$1065. It doesn't seem you have long to wait to find out. Presale for 33 started on November 17th so it's very soon.

250 will get you into the 100 section outside of the corners. But you will have to buy fast. Travel pacakges are for sale now and pre sale is on the 13th, most of the good seats will be gone within a few weeks after that and you'll be stuck buying from a second hand site.

Here is a list of ticket prices http://wrestlefans.pl/bottomline/logo%20wm34tickets.png

But there is a lot to do during mania weekend. There is NXT, HOF show, ROH, Wrestlecon and Axxess. So you may want to do more than just buy tickets.

So I went to this at Korakuen Hall last week:

http://puroresuspirit.net/2017/11/se...ember-17-2017/

Random Thoughts Below:

-On tickets, it was really tough to purchase in advance without an address in Tokyo. In the end I decided to just chance it and headed along to Korakuen to buy at the gate (if it had sold out there was baseball available at the Tokyo Dome next to it so win/win). We ended up getting seats in the A category, but looking at the venue I really regret not getting the cheap seats as they looked much more comfortable, would definitely recommend that for anyone going unless you really need to be right next to the ring.

-Korakuen Hall itself was much smaller than expected. Having never been to a wrestling event outside of Melbourne but having heard of Korakuen and TD for many years I'd expected it to be massive. It's on level 5 of a building and has a real almost 'community centre' type feel if that makes sense.

-On matches, there was a bit of a mixed bag in terms of performance but it was really logically well booked. Champ ate the pin in a tag match but it made a lot of sense in context and then it built to the tag team championship match which made the tag titles feel like they really mattered. Something I wish the WWE would do better.

-Best performance of the night was clearly Dash Chisako who actually built her feud at the start of the PPV and then acted as pretty much a human pinball for much the final match. It was a bit disappointing that the other 3 women in the ME weren't really able to go with her. The main feud was between her and Cassandra but Cassandra's offense was never really that believable and the result of the match never really seemed in doubt.

-Meiko Satomura took a pretty clear second MVP. Her offense looks seriously scary up close and it was a rare moment where it actually made sense for the champ to eat the pin in the tag match.

-Final thoughts, overall a mixed bag in terms of matches but finished really strong and definitely glad I went and ticked 'Korakuen Hall' off the bucket list.

If anyone has any questions at all please feel free to ask.

Was just listening to this shoot with Jim Cornette talking about Lex Luger not going over at SummerSlam '93 (still an all-time bad booking decision IMO).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2wdfZWmgf0

I was a bit surprised that while downplaying Lex's readiness to be the guy (for full context, starts at ~4:02), Cornette makes a point of noting his good qualities by saying, "he looked so fantastic, and he was SO intelligent..." Cornette seemed to say it in total sincerity. I guess I have no real reason to have believed otherwise, but I just never in a million years would have guessed Lex Luger to be an especially intelligent guy.
