So I've been thinking about how a Shield 3x threat should have happened. My fantasy booking plan:
Dean is kept off TV after his ambulance match with Bray.
Roman is kept off TV until the Rumble and is a surprise entrant. He lasts a long time, looks strong, etc, gets eliminated and Bryan wins. Roman also debuts with a new look and new music (because when Shield eventually reforms, that needs to be THEIR music, not his- the pop we'll never get for that time "Sierra, Echo..." comes out of nowhere
).
At Fast Lane Roman wrestles somebody like Show/Kane in another "make Roman look strong" match. Goes over pretty easily.
At Fast Lane Seth tries to cash or maybe just goes for a vicious curbstomp on Cena or Brock, but Dean runs out to stop him. Shortly thereafter Roman does as well, tries to spear Seth, Seth dodges, Roman hits Dean instead. Tensions continue to escalate as they both basically fight eachother to get to Seth. Dean complains Roman didn't have his back, etc.
And that's almost the most minimally creative you'd have to be and it would still be over.
The rest of the DidsMania card as a result.
Lesnar/Bryan
HHH/Sting
Wyatt/Taker (although since it's my fantasy world, this could also be Wyatt/Harper (face)
IC ladder match with Ziggler, Cesaro, Harper, BNB, Orton, Miz, Mizdow (I think their story works well in a multiman match where Miz expects Mizdow to help. If Harper's fighting Bray, Sheamus can go here).
Golddust vs Stardust with Dusty as Ref.
Tyson Kidd and Big E (tag champs, since I stole Cesaro from Tyson to give him a singles push, he gets the next best Big Guy and you should take that an an insult Ryback) vs Usos.
Paige vs Nikki with AJ Lee as special guest GTFO and stay home.
Andre match, which Bo Dallas totally wins.
