If you cant enjoy the return itself, I feel sorry for you. Its not like MiTB was any different. CM Punk leaves and comes back to dualing holding up titles with Cena, LOL.

Seriously though, whats with this lying thing? Were you really 10 years old thinking that meant he was getting back in the ring permanently? He meant hes not gonna disappear for 7 years again, and he hasnt. He even wrestled a match. Hes a movie star bro, he didnt "lie" to you, you just took it totally wrong.

Don't you realize the cool thing to do is hate on the Rock now?

I guess I missed the hidden text where Rock said "never leaving (for seven years) again."

He went out of his way to announce that he was breaking kayfabe to deliver that line too. Justify away, but it was bull**** on his part.

Agree with PJ, he said he wasn't leaving, he hasn't left.

Whinge away tho.

Purely justifying the result you WANT to reach, but okay.

PJ making things 1 and 0 imo. I never said I didn't enjoy Rock's return or that I didn't mark out, but Punk actually winning MITB was a bigger markout moment since it was sort of shocking how well it was booked. Of course the followup was aids but that wasn't the question. And all of creative's followups are aids.

This. sure I am probably stupid for buying it but I felt fairly insulted when he cut the promo live via satellite a few weeks later about how "lol I don't have to wrestle" but then he does that interview where he says he should be champion again. seems fairly "wat" to me but whatever.

I think if Stone Cold makes his return to face Punk next year, he'll make a lot more appearances than Rock did this year.

The follow up to Punk was not the best but it didn't make me hate Punk the way Rock's satellite **** did. Not sure why this is complicated. I still enjoyed both and marked out for both but you deleted that part when you quoted me. u mad?

I think your point was that your personally like Rock's return better. Congrats. I thought it bit dicks since Rock bailed on wrestling a few PPVs in favor of doing one PPV and making a GI Joe movie. I mean I don't fault him for that, travelling the road is dog**** and he gets infinity more money from movies. But he still broke kayfabe to assure the fans and then claimed he didn't later on. And I am a fan who wants to see him in the ring so I am disappoint. Again not sure why this is difficult to comprehend.

Just start the awards already

I don't have the exact count but SCSA might have been live on Raw more times than Rock this year.

Not counting his little presentations via satellite.

I deleted who with the what now? You used the followup to Rocks return as a justification to not mark out as much to it, then when the follow up to punk is mentioned, you say LOL THE FOLLOWUP WASNT PART OF THE QUESTION

the one thing i enjoyed was the night he returned. that was legit MTFO moment. he, however, was awfullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll pretty much every time he showed up since then. i'll count myself among those annoyed at the "i'm never leaving" remark, cuz i mean, obviously he's a movie star and he'll never be a full time performer but it isn't too much to ask that "i'm never leaving again" doesn't mean 3 raw appearances in 1 calendar year

still, it's probably a blessing he only showed up 3 times or whatever the actual count was cuz he ****ing sucked. not sure if it was PG or whatever, but his promos were ******ed, the catchphrases were dumb as **** and holy christ at that twitter war and trending ****. abysmal. when half the airtime is devoted to you on the rare occasions u do show up and those occasions are just full of aids, please, please, please just stay in hollywood and let your airtime and mega-ultra-storylines go to people who deserve them

from a business perspective obv rock coming back is gigantic for wwe, from a fan's persepctive, gtfo

Well I can't go back in time and not mark out. But Rock's non-returning return was a huge enough net negative and an enormous waste of time to crush me voting for it even if I did like it better than Punk. Compared to Punk which was just a fizzling zero of an aftermath. And yes I said they shouldn't count but I am petty and they are my votes!

And again I don't blame Rock for taking the cash and the easier taping schedule. It just sucks things didn't work out better because the original plan was for him to work a few PPVs and not just show up for SS because Twitter asked him to (LOL).

Take his comments how you guys want, just wondering what you expected? Obv I dont think anyone expected taped promos (lol) but I didnt think he was going to be showing up every monday, did you guys?

Rocks RETURN was ****ing epic, I fully agree everything after was total aids. In fact its made me not want SCSA to come back. Its just showing things wont be the same and will somewhat ruin what we remember. We dont need austin going through that too.

how long was he even on air during his own Raw is Rocked episode? not counting crushing Foley I think he was on screen live for about 10 minutes. the commercial bumps added up together was probably 3x more than that with him showing off his wtf tattoos.

i didn't expect or want him to be showing up every monday. i did, however, think that his first match in 8 years, he would show up more than once in the lead into SS

Agreed re: SCSA.

re: Rock, definitely never expected anything remotely regular. But I expected him to have at least one match on one episode of Raw and to work more than one PPV leading up to Mania. Just showing up live on Raw one extra time might have been enough. I mean he was sending in promos from New Orleans when Raw was in Georgia/Carolinas. He couldn't hop a quick flight up there for a taping? The current plan seems to be that Rock is good to go until April now. Just feels aidsy that him hosting last WM is going to eclipse him wrestling (main eventing?) this WM in terms of being involved and a build-up.

sat through raw again last night and i swear when i watch raw live and watch this thread it's much more bearable because that cena promo with nothing else to do was death. him trying to be like punk saying things over music starting and his stupid turn to the camera and "you still got a helluva right hand 'hot rod'" is so f'n bad. i would never watch raw if not for this thread.

the booking of the cena/ryder match is of course a megafail since john l. said "if ryder wins he can have a us title match" making the future stuff lol ridic. this is really not cena's fault but just like a soap opera i really wish they'd kill him off so they stop putting him in **** like this.
