does anybody else think that Jericho does a horrible job as a heel?

Looking like:

HHH/Orton
Edge/Cena
Jeff/Matt
Christian/Swagger
HBK/Taker
Jericho/Flair (hope this changes)
MITB: Kingston/Benjamin/Mysterio/Kane/Finlay/MVP would be my guess
That's a pretty awful MITB match.

This may be perhaps the worst opinion that anybody has ever held in the long and frequently bad opinion having history of 2p2.

imo jericho is one of the best heels in wwe history ever.

it looks good that its gonna be austin vs y2j at wm. I simply cant see how they can put piper in it. More possibly flair, but i think its gonna be austin in the end.

----

jericho is doing a "legends" promo. suddenly rourke is on the screen and tells jericho that austin is gonna whoop his ass at wm.

Just saying something totally stupid and then clowning people for not getting it as an obvious level isn't really fair. It's not like there aren't 15 people stupid enough to hold that opinion posting right now. If you want a clever GOTCHA- I think you need to do a bit more legwork.

Also noting that no wrestling game has ever been better than No Mercy for the N64.
Official WrestleMania Thread Quote

The WCW games for the N64 were by far the best wrestling games ever created. I think the best was called NWO revenge.

I thought it was Rourke/Jericho at mania?

Do we really need Edge vs Cena again? Yes they can pull off some v good matches but there surely the WWE is more creative then that like someone said earlier plz put some sort of twist in it or it will be the generic edgeplayspsychoheelwhilecenaplayseightie'serahulkh ogan.

Yah the NWO revenge game was teh nuts. 2nd only to Goldeneye as far as 4player college dorm room entertainment.
Oddly enough I liked to 'rack' people w/ Luger in that game even though he was one of my least fav. wrestlers.

Rourke backed out.

No Mercy was the next gen of the WCW version IIRC- and made some significant improvement.

i read that about rourke too. it could be just because of the awards next sunday, maybe they get something going afterwards.

Kamala and Nikolai Volkoff? The rest of that list looks very understandable...those two seem odd to me. Oh, and Koko B. Ware too. Those three were never any bigger than "opening match on a PPV at best" status.

The whole THQ N64 wrestling library was fantastic (World Tour-Revenge-WM 2000,No Mercy) Scott Steiner's Screwdriver in WT was fantastic.

And no Macho in Legends?????

<3 Macho. Would've been nice if Hogan jobbed to him one time out of their 100 matches.

Meh its taken like 50 years for them to remind fans that Macho actually existed with the upcoming Macho DVD. I'd expect to see him in a video game maybe in the year 2080.

I think in Hogan's mind he did job to Macho when he graciously allowed him to win the WM4 tourney.

Volkoff has a very long history with the WWE. He was main eventing in the 70s with Bruno Sammartino and later with both Backlund and Hogan. He had at lest three runs in the WWWF/WWF/WWE in which he was the #1 heel for at least a short time.

Kamala is just plain fun. He main evented a bit with Hogan. He was also a big draw in the south before he arrived in the WWF.

SIGH FML.

Tentative plans for WM25:

HHH vs. Orton
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy
HBK vs. Undertaker

...

Edge vs. Big Show (WTF?!?!?)
John Cena vs. Hulk Hogan (OMFGFML)

Also, Jericho vs. Rourke.

This was posted on some dirtsheet sites citing a WWE source. Hogan/Cena might be an interesting storyline, but unless it's fodder for a major Cena heel turn (impossible, imo) I will likely be suicidal during the match.

I stand corrected on Volkoff. All I remembered was The Bolsheviks, his subsequent face turn, then being low man on the totem pole in Dibiase's corporation.

I'm surprised Ultimate Warrior is on there. Not because he isn't a legend, he is of course, but because he has the rights to his own character name, and obviously things between he and Vince are awfully acrimonious.

Now that you mention Backlund, he should be on there if the list is going to be that long. Wish Owen Hart was on there too, he was my all-time favorite...but I understand there would be a lot of sensitivity on profiting from his name, even this much later. Oh well, still a really solid list despite a few omissions and a couple in Kamala and Koko that I still find a bit odd.

What you read on some dirtsheet means about as much as me telling you it'll probably be Edge vs. Big Show vs. Cena and Jericho vs. Austin.

Mick Foley and Randy Savage were going to be in the game but Vince made THQ pull them out.
