Edge & Matt Hardy v. Jeff Hardy & Christian

Match from over ten years, Jeff does a 450 splash, Christian looks dumb with long hair, no one knows who the legal man is, and all the pins look ****ty. I have no memory of Jeff doing a 450 splash; pretty cool stuff.

Man that match was a total cluster****. Fans really didn't seem to care nor did they know who to root for/against since both teams were face, announcers didn't care, no flow to the match at all, pins were sloppy, and it was basically a spotfest.

LOL @ Michael Hayes afterwards saying it was one of the greatest matches ever on RAW or some nonsense. There's one guy I don't miss at all.

I didnt know Vince dosnt like Christian. Im guessing Christian didnt figure he was going to ECW or he never would have resigned with WWE. Who knows maybe he is just there to try and pump up ratings for ECW and will then change brands when the draft comes after Wrestlemania.

TBH, I was surprised Vince even re-signed him considering his first TNA promo.

It's pretty clear that Christian is only on ECW until the draft.

It just sounded more like a shoot to me than a work.

3 years ago it may have been part shoot. IIRC, Russo was still doing a lot of the booking/writing for TNA then and we all know how much he LOVED the whole "worked shoot" style while he was running WCW right into the ground.

The only thing I can figure is that they're getting Christian on TV to have him involved in something with time to actually build to Mania. Not that they'd really need to, but three years is also a long time to expect fans to remember a guy like him. He's the type of guy who should be one of the top runners on Raw, but would also help Smackdown tremendously. His promo with Swagger was good but he just completely dominated the whole thing.

After watching tons of old youtube clips today, I can't emphasize enough how much Bobby the Brain Heenan rules. I really think the vastly inferior commentary today is a big piece of what's missing in wrestling now.

Edge won the Raw title now, apparently. I didn't get this show, but that's how the website tells it.

I can't imagine they're having Edge vs. Orton at Mania, so I'm baffled as to what this all means. Another title switch on Raw?

very odd show last night imo... i read the results... the edge thing was predictable when he lost in the 1st match, plus they put his matches on the ends of the card to give him a break

I'm fine with those. Tonight's RAW did a fantastic job of starting the buildup imo. Best RAW in awhile.

And Steph took that RKO like a champ. Orton switches brands to SmackDown and faces Trips for the title at Mania in what could be an excellent match.

Also, looking forward to either HBK or JBL vs. Undertaker. Someone's gotta retire! For two of them...again!

I wasn't going to post it, but someone like you might appreciate it. Larry Sweeney won his second consecutive Wrestling Observer "Best Non-Wrestler" award this year. I lived with him for a summer, and have kept in touch since. He's really awesome in an old school heel way.
