Taker's reign was four months or so (I think that's the gap from WM to SummerSlam), so that was the longest reign of the year by far.

Sid was the first one to ever win the title on Raw, and then of course the damn floodgates came open and there have been a lot since. I continue to root for championship reigns to go on for 6+ months, as I can't totally give up on title changes again becoming something special...but that's probably a pipe dream. The belt is probably devalued for good.

The only reason the design is that way now is cos it absolutely crushes in merch sales. It was meant to be a really short change for Cena's first (iirc) title reign but then the new design's replica decimated everything so it mostly stuck, tho the W doesnt spin anymore.

Ive read that HHH has tried to change it back to something more traditional cos he hates the design and i believe Jericho made similar noise, but money is money so i doubt it will change for a while.

So I guess the outcome of the Monday Night Wars was ruining all of the belts as they tried to outdo one another on free TV. '99 was Finger Poke, 2000 was David Arquette. And '99 was the year WWE (inf changes, McMahon) and IC title were tarnished to ****.

Ya I agree the they set up Goldberg to be huge and then to end his streak like that. Would have been a perfect chance to bring in a rising star and have him beat Goldberg for instant attention and fame.

I understand he is a phenom and is greatly respected in the wwe but the should involve him a little more or let someone end his streak...not really sure who it should be though I don't think any new comer deserves to beat the undertaker!! Taker has given at least 2 decades to this business (without looking it up i believe he debuted mid 80s) and is one of the biggest draws still. If he cant physically work a full workload you think Vince is going to make him work some crappy house shows or save him for TV and the big live events? Oh and for the record he is only off TV when he is injured, but his body is pretty broken which is why its usually like half of the year right now.

And the streak is a huge marketing tool and a franchise in itself. When he retires, probably next year, the 20-0 DVD will be one of the biggest selling DVDs in WWE history and crush previous records.

No one at this point can live up to ending the streak imo. Whoever gets the honor of being the last victim gets more than enough rub.

Given the choices available for some of the people-power matches (20 minute time limit!?!) I don't have very high hopes for what will be on the wheel tonight. Maybe it will be a virtual wheel like the one they use for the draft and they can rig it/book an actual show. lol probably not.

My guess is pillow fight, flag, blindfold, body slam, Judy Bagwell on a pole, and song and dance matches get chosen.

I think they should do an angle where Punk has to face someone in a pillow fight, just for the lolz.

speaking of "ROHbot"'s...yesterday they had the MOTY on their iPPV "best in the world". Edwards/Richards is a must see for any wrestling fan. The 4 way tag match was also a MOTYC and generico/daniels was great.

Well I would hope the guys are decent enough workers they have a few rough finishes planned and obviously know who goes over and it doesn't matter. But yeah I assumed all of it was rigged including the votes last week, which seemed rigged based on botched results but allegedly were not! They were still bogus though since a lot of the choices were non-choices.

Arm wrestling was rigged correct? I wish when something stupid like arm wrestling won a vote theyd have the 2 guys do it for real. They could just fill time by fighting afterwards
