Spoiler:
As soon as it was decided who had the cases i was right with everything but Bashir being fired and Rob getting the case.

Even though Red could carry an inanimate dummy through a match he will have a hard time given Rob is way more likely to botch every other move than an inanimate dummy.

That Wolfe vs Angle match was sooooo good. Exactly what a brutal match should be. Im not a huge blading fan but it sells matches like that and its something missing when WWE tries to do similar stuff whilst still being PG.

Here's an update regarding TNA Impact getting a Monday timeslot to go head to head with Raw, from Spike president.

Quote:
-- Spike president Kevin Kay on January 4th, to Multichannel News: "I think it will be huge — Hulk Hogan is the most iconic wrestling superstar in the world. Going head to head with the WWE is a great way to start off the year. If it's successful, I'm not opposed to moving it to Monday nights. This is the time for this … TNA has a lot of momentum with Hulk Hogan and we have the ability to market and promote it." He said they might offer quarterly special regardless.
So pretty much what we already know. If the Jan 4th Impact does a good rating, Spike would consider moving Impact to Mondays. TNA has always wanted a Monday timeslot because Mondays are wrestling nights. Spike has always been hesitant about moving TNA to Monday because they don't want to be perceived as a second tier network because they feel that Raw would easily kill Impact in the ratings week after week. Now that with Hogan on board, they are willing to take a chance. TNA has everything riding on the Jan 4th show.

Frankly I think Impact will get killed by Raw again on Jan 4th (no surprise) but if they get a good rating out of it, it will still be considered a success. It's up in the air what the Jan 4th rating will be with all the media attention, show build ups, and internet buzz. Should be fun.

What's worse than "Little People's Court?"

Recapping it.

I switched to the 38-6 NFL game to avoid seeing it again.

Amazingly each Monday night I read someone say "that was the worst RAW ever" ... trend?

I'm really hoping that trend ends in two weeks.

Swagger didn't end up looking too horrible in that loss to Cena, but besides being minorly relieved at that, pretty forgettable episode.

Yeah but once the match ended, Cena completely no-sold his majority of the match beat-down, just strutted out of the ring care-free, so in a way that did bury Swagger sadly.

the hot blonde chasing the tiger with golf clubs yesterday on raw may in fact be the tipping point for me to just straight up not watch wrestling anymore.

Johnny Damon - predictably awful, but at least he got the wrestlers' names right.

Tiger gimmick - not funny until he was back in the "office" with the Bella twins, and even then, not really funny.

Little People's Court - Not so much funny in itself, but I'm a bit of a DX mark, so I thought it was hilarious. Recap was waaaaayyyy overkill and I'd have been pissed if I bought tickets to that show and didn't even get live promos, but had to sit and watch the Titantron all night.

Sheamus - Most I've ever seen of him and not at all impressed. Triple H's old Lemmy beard and Scott Hall's finisher, and no promo time, so besides the fact that he beat John Cena, I have no reason to hate him. And even then, that's assuming that I actually care about John Cena being champion.

Another Bret Hart mention, with JR's blog and all the other "dirtsheet" sites saying "he's coming back" will keep me interested for a couple more weeks, but there needs to be something better. Looking forward to an Edge comeback whenever that happens, and god, will they PLEASE make Sheamus do something besides work out with HHH to get this kind of push...

Of all the things WWE has done to you (exploiting Eddie's death, Benoit, Katie Vick, etc), THIS is your tipping point? LOL

I read all the hoopla and actually decided to watch the replay of Raw. Tiffany (? Ecw gm) coming out chasing Tiger was so beyond ridiculous I actually LOL'd at it. It is what it is, I think I've gotten to a point that WWE doesn't offend me anymore. It was so bad that I actually LOL'd.

The Young Bucks, arguably the best tag team in the world right now had a tryout match with TNA at the tapings on Monday. They worked with the MCMGs and the match was widely considered one of the best TNA matches of the year.

Shame it wasnt on TV. Yay if they get signed and it will turn into a feud when the Guns finally get the titles off TBI.

ROH is getting gutted of its talent right now. Will it see 2011 if all these guys getting tryouts get signed?

Edit, beaten to the reporting

I just saw Final Resolution.

NigelDesmond/Angle was amazing, I don't think I've ever seen that many different holds and counters and counter-counters in one match. I was almost feeling sorry for AJ and Daniels having to follow that ****, but then they took it to another damn level and about killed themselves to entertain. What a sick match.

Young Bucks vs American Wolves (11/23/09)

One of the best tag team matches you'll see all year. It's amazing stuff like this is on TV and people are watching Little People's Court.

When you think of TNA, AJ Styles is the guy who most comes to mind. So its no shock he has had the best title reign ive ever seen since watching TNA approx 2.5 years ago.

His first PPV defense against Sting was a classic. The three way vs Joe and Daniels was as good if not better than the 5 star match they did way back when. Then the defense vs Daniels, wow, they just left it all in the ring and despite a LONG history (well especially, to be fair) they brought several new spots ive never seen used.

In that time he also faced Angle in a great time limit draw on Impact.

Three months and four of the best matches of the year. So goram sick and he truly earns his gimmick and nickname The Phenomenal AJ Styles.

In the future we have Joe holding the money in the bank briefcase, Angle is promised a match and after he feuds with Daniels you have to assume Wolfe is going to be in the title picture very quickly.

AJ getting the title and holding it for a year would easily be so amazing, bringing so much prestige back to the title and keeping the companies top guy in the main events every month.

For those wondering 347 days is the record back in the NWA belt days by JJ, and 189 is the record held by Sting for the actual TNA belt.

Can CM Punk please just walk on, GTS Abe Washington, and go backstage, he's so awful
ECW isn't bad, but he's killing the show so much
edit: that Hurricane/Swagger backstage clip was definitely solid lol

ROH Final Battle 2009 Trip Report

Took a 4:28 train from Babylon to Penn Station. Snow was not falling that hard as of yet. Get to Penn at 5:40 and the snow was falling harder. Got some quiznos, then went in to the Manhattan Center. Huge buy 3, get 2 free dvd sale. Awesome. Had to get Glory by Honor 8, which had the last ROH appearance by "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson(who HAS to debut for wwe soon..... pleased) and Nigel Mcguiness. Also got a few more dvds, a tshirt, and a hat... and 2 shots of jager.

Match of the show-Young Bucks vs El Generico and Kevin Steen. Bucks won a high paced match. After the match, Steen cursed out a few fans who were acting like *******s(more on this later), then made a very emotional speech when he announced his "retirement". Generico and Steen embrace at the end, then Steen says "Generico, i hate your ****ing guts.", and hits him with a low blow, then a monster chair shot to the head. He then kisses Colt Cabana, who came out to protect Generico, on the forehead. Awesome

(Non)Match of the show-Teddy Hart vs Jack Evans-It was announced that they were not going to be able to be at the show, since their flight from Mexico City was delayed. Right before the main event, Jack, Teddy and Julius Smokes come out, announce they they are here, and want 5 minutes of our time to do what they came here to do. Teddy and Jack procede to have a spot monkey match, starting with no ref, then with Julius coming in and acting as the ref. Jack "won" the match, and then both Jack and Teddy took the mic and put over the company, the fans and the city for a long time.

The thing that makes me think this was not planned was the fact that after the "match" was over, ref Bryce Remsburg was running around ringside trying to get them out of the ring. Makes me think that the combination of thir not being a ref, and Remsburg forcing them out of the ring, shows they "stole the show", in more ways than one.

Show ended at 11:55, after an hour long draw between Tyler Black and ROH World Champion Austin Aries. It was a slow match, that I actually liked. Aries played the chicken **** heel, trying to keep his title by any means necessary. Black was the face who would do anything within the rules to win.

The match should have had a decisive finish though. Even if it was in a countout, Aries needed to win the match, and Black should have been completely out of the title picture.

The fans-My section had a group who were horrible. They would try and start bad chants every 2 minutes, and were just trying to get themselves over. I finally had to start a "Shut the **** up" chant when they tried to start a "twinkees" chant after every count the ref made in the main event. That chant ruined the title match at the last show, and I would not let it ruin another title match. It worked for the most part.

Got back to my train station at 1:20am. My car was snowed in. It took til about 2am to get it out, and then i got stuck again driving my buddy home. A few guys helped me get unstuck, dropped him off, then was stuck until 4am trying to get my car in front of my house, which was not only not plowed in, but the street next to mine was, so i had double the snow in my way.

All in all, awesome night, until the drive home.
