ROH has a PPV coming up on Friday night at 10 PM for $15. If you are a wrestling fan who is willing to pay money for wrestling, you really need to check ROH out. The whole promotion gets rave reviews.
Haha, picture number 5's got those Reche Caldwell eyes. At least some of them are normal. Well, except the dude who actually has Kane's mask permanently marked on his body...random winners really not helping the image of the casual wrestling fan.
If you read the official rules on the website, this week's top prize will be $300,000 and the low end will be $16. I'm also pretty sure the overall ratings drop was because people who weren't entered in the contest (like me) had very little interest in watching some of the crap that they did around the calls like that ******ed singing bit or Charlie Haas getting molested by Mae Young.
Actually only one of them even sounded like they gave a damn. Of course, from their pictures, the winners probably have a combined IQ of <100, so take that for what its worth.
yeah it was irritating how nonchalant all but one sounded. esp looking at them now, they look like they have an avg household income of 16k, wtf. i have combined household income over 100k, plus over 70k in donkament winnings this year, and i would have been jumping up and down to win fkn 200 thousand dollars.
and it got toned down considerably before I posted
according to an interview with one of the winners, he got a call at 9 telling him to hold for a call from Vince McMahon later in the show. Might explain the kinda dull responses from most of the winners.
ok that would explain it. that makes sense, don't want a bunch of d-bags not answering or yelling FK on Raw, or not knowing the password and wasting time (though I think the best TV would be someone not knowing password).
When Vince called the guy who sang the National Anthem, my phone rang at the exact moment the first ring was happening. Needless to say I got excited for about a second until I saw the caller ID wasn't "Mr. McMahon".
well ratings went up a bit, and they are planning it for the 3 hour draft special edition next week, but I think this is still hurting them more than helping. There was very very little wrestling last night on Raw. I thought it was a good episode, but just not really sure on Lance Cade (!) getting a push.
They really shook some **** up. I was really happy until J.R. got moved (then had a nightmare about Adamle ending up on RAW, Cole isn't as bad but still pretty bad).
Think this pretty much seals a World or WWE title change at NoC. Imagine Cena will beat Trips, then again, Trips might have earned himself a long run for switching brands. Doubt they'll have both titles on one show, espec. on Smackdown.
this was BLEH. I don't watch Smackdown, and now I am very disappointed in the Raw lineup. Why didn't they just move Lawler to Smackdown and have Ross/Foley do Raw???? God Michael Cole, vomit. Plus poor JR looked like someone shot his dog.
Yeah I read today that JR didn't find out about his draft to SD until it actually happened. I also read they want to try and spike the ratings for SD when it moves to MyNetwork so they're putting some top guys there and want JR being the voice. I think a lot of what was said by the commentators last night were shoots if you listened. Pretty much all of what Tazz said were shoots, JR's obviously were, and Cole actually sounded upset as well, saying he's been the SD announcer for 10 years and then when SD moves to a new network, Vince would rather have JR be the guy instead of him.
I liked most of the picks though, even though I already knew about most of them through the interweb.
