here's the way i see it: UT's streak should never be broken unless it precedes something enormous or is for a huge push. a punk/SCSA match @WM30 would be enormous. breaking the streak would be a pretty good precursor for that program

It's cute that people still think there's a chance of Austin coming back.

assuming no injuries, what are the odds Fandango has a match at WM30?

same question for SCSA.

need to think about my own answers and will post them but interested in thoughts and for lols obv.

I think Fandango has a better chance at a WM30 match than any Diva having a singles match at this or the next WM

not quite as crazy as it sounds

still wont happen tho imo.... the real trouble with all this is just how badly dwayne buried punk. best in the world, except for that kids movie star who can beat you with an elbow.

Stephanie: Mr. Kotkin, I represent the World Wrestling Federation.
David: I don't do guest appearances.
Stephanie: We're not asking for that.
David: Who gave you this number?
Stephanie: The WWE has a problem this year with it's marquee presentation Wrestlemania.
David: What did you call for, and why am I talking to you?
Stephanie: My father Vincent Kennedy McMahon is in need of expert advise.
David: So you need a magician to rescue this years show?
Stephanie: We'd like one of our matches to leave the audience with an unforgettable illusion.
David: Why am I talking to you, when Vinnie is right there?
Vincent: I faked my own death once, but no one remembers that.
David: If I make a mistake, that's an actual consequence.
Vincent: We have a problem with our show this year, it's about as lame as it's ever been.
David: I'm not interested.
Vincent: We're only asking to hire your stage crew, to handle a simple levitation.
David: So you're going to pay triple the standard rate?
Vincent: I want to levitate a cremation urn during one of our wrestling matches. I need to have the audience aware of what's going on for several minutes. The urn is going to hover over the ring, and eventually cause a distraction.
David: So you want the ghost of Chris Benoit to come out of the urn?
Vincent: I don't want to piss off Kevin.
David: What do you expect to happen then?
Vincent: Just let it drop into the ring and smash to pieces when the match is won.
David: That's not going to be something unforgettable. Tell you what, I'm going to be in AC next week, dinner at Lefty's and bring Phil.
Vincent: So you'll do this?
David: Not over the phone.

There's less than a 5% chance the streak gets broken ever, but there's literally 0% it gets broken without having Cena/Taker at WM.

SCSA isn't wrestling at any WM again. He's 48 and is broken from his neck down to his knees.

I agree, Cena is only one they would have beat the streak, but I don't think it happens. I also think next WM is UT last match, with ZERO in between.

That's not really going out on a limb or anything. He hasn't been a regular for like 3 years now, and he's ancient as ****. He really should have just hung up the boots after the first second HHH-UT.

So I haven't watched wrestling in a long time but WM is in my area. I've never been to a WWE PPV (was at some ECW PPV's back in the day, RIP) let alone Mania. I'm thinking this might be a rare chance for me to attend. But this thread doesn't sound too excited. Should I try to get tix?

The event will suck but there's nothing like being there. I'd snap go if I still lived in Mass..

Yeah, WM is a spectacle that would probably be worth being there live for, even if this isn't going to be a top WrestleMania (it almost surely won't be).

I'd have a hard time not going to Mania if it was in my backyard.

are you a rock fan? if yes then prob go

do you care at all about good matches/storylines and technical wrestling? if no then prob go

i mean this is definitely building to have the potential to be the worst wm in history, with several ludicrously bad matches booked on the card, in particular the me. however its still gonna have an awesome crowd to be a part of, and lots of great pyrotechnics and action. i remember being at a wwe house show and found it awesome. if you can sit back and just let yourself forget all the reasons why the storylines suck and be a young mark again you will possibly have a great time

I am local-ish to the show. I work in manhattan. Is the fan access was in NYC at the javits center, I would snap be at that. I will hopefully be t the HoF ceremony. I'll be at ROH on Friday night.

Mania itself, I pass on.

I'd rather watch that on a couch.

I think you will really regret not going at some point in the future. This isnt an everyday oppurtuinity to go to WM.

And its not like metlife is so far away - hell take the train there.

I might.

I was at WM X at the garden, and the memories are so amazing.

But I just really not interested in any of the matches, and some are just disappointing so far. The HoF is way more interesting to me, and I can only afford one or the other.

You should definitely check out that Fan Access thing, that always looks awesome.

What are they going to do after WM? I mean, Cena obviously wins the title. Then what? Who comes up to fued with him? You going to have CM Punk again? There's no way they can do that if he has losses to Rock, Rock, and UT in the last three PPVs. Not enough momentum. And from what my (casual) eyes can see, there really isn't anyone remotely close to the same league as Cena, Punk, and Lesnar.

I guess they can have the winner of Ryback/Mark Henry go after the championship.

The top of the card is really hurting right now. That is what happens when you make the top of the WM card mostly part timers. None of the regular guys get elevated, and none look strong.

I splurged for decent lower level seats on StubHub. I probably overpaid, but I'm making a special trip to NYC for my first ever Wrestlemania. I also nabbed tickets for Raw. Even though the card is a bit weak, I'm super excited. I just wish I could get to NYC already!
