Well it's the night before the PPV and still no thread, that shows how much everyone currently cares about the product.

The main storyline leading up to TLC has been CM Punk fueding with Ryback, so tomorrow night Ryback finally gets to face CM Punk one on one for the title...



Butnahhhhhh Ryback is a terrible worker and injured CM Punk, forcing him to have knee surgery and miss the PPV.



So instead we have a six-man tag-team match of Team Feed Me Hell vs The Shield and their shaky camera (which I appear to be the only one who likes it.)

Result: The Shield when via pinfall on Bryan



Next we literally have the Cena in the Bank match. I'm not sure why Vince is making Dolph defend his briefcase hopefully someone can help me out there? The only good thing to come out of this was Cena's promo on Jimmy Fallon:



Result: Dolph retrieves the briefcase with the help of AJference.





Also both of the midcard titles will be defended in matches no one cares about.

Result: Aids



Sheamus and Big Show are facing each other in a chairs match. I don't really see this Show dropping the title and it doesn't seem like Ziggler is going to cash in tonight.

Result: Big Show retains hopefully with an appearance by:





Team Car Stereo takes on team Rhode Scholars in a tables match. This will probably be match of the night.

Result: Cody's stache.



The preshow is a diva's battle royal.

Result: LOLDIVASMATCH

Over all this PPV looks like it's going to be absolutely terrible, and appears to just be filler until the RR. Maybe we will get Punk and Heyman on commentary together during the TLC match.

That would be pretty nice to see. But I shall have to miss the first 1.75 hours since I got some fences to mend or to bridges to burn with a long-time friend. It could go either way.

Ziggler in the main event of a ppv? Or is there just no main event in this one?

There's no way Cena is anywhere but last on this one. If ****ing Cena v. Kane went on last over a WWE title match then there can't be much question.

In this case I can't blame them at all. I'd put Cena-Ziggler on last also. (Of course, I'd like to think that I wouldn't have buried the WHC so hard that it wouldn't be a consideration to main event instead...)

Would be surprised if Shield match didn't go on last.

This, Vince has been pushing Ryback like crazy and The Shield are super over so I would pick that to go on last.

Ah. Well, I'm out of touch and have only been watching the product on a cursory level compared to before, so you guys are probably right.

over with wrestling nerds and over with the general audience are two different things. they get a pretty meh reaction when attacking people and they don't even give interviews in front of people so it's pretty hard to think people are interested in them.

I don't think this is true at all. Maybe if you swap them and say Ryback is over and Shield is being pushed.

Bold prediction: This PPV will be decent

When was the last time a reigning WWE champion didn't compete on a PPV? Has it ever happened?

When survivor series first started, every match was a survivor series match, so no championship matches.

There were times when there was no reigning champion (vacant title) like royal rumble 1992.

Maybe some king of the ring ppvs didn't have title matches, can't really remember.

Well there definitely hasn't always been WWE title matches, plenty of exceptions there, but yeah PPVs where the title was vacant are probably the only times you couldn't say that anyone competed as WWE champion.

Sure but even in those PPVs the champion usually competed. So whatever PPVs HBK was injured for as well.

Buried Alive in 1996 is the only US PPV I can find (not counting brand-exclusive PPVs after the brand extension). Hulk Hogan missed Insurrextion in 2002, but I don't really count UK-only PPVs.

WWE should just give this one away for free.

Correct. That's probably as far back as we can go as far as the main champion that did not have a championship match and was not booked in the ppv other than today's PPV with Punk not being booked and have the WWE championship.
