As much as I loved this 50+ minute match, it would not surprise me if 5 of the competors got serious injuries in this match. There were a lot of sick looking bumps and landings the whole match

That was a great great match. I know you're talking about the result and I think the result was fine as well. It's something going forward especially as another poster had just asked "why's this match happening if nothing on the line". It furthered a few things here.

It looked like Bray nearly ripped Roman's head off with that SA to win. Glad he seems to be ok. Hope Shane's ok but jfc he brings it on himself by just being a not highly trained daredevil.

Almost nobody came out of that match worse off than they went in. Except for...wait for it...the Universal Champion. But it did good things for a lot of others.

Here we go. The guy they pulled from the championship belt picture because no one was a believable opponent vs some guy that hasn't been a thing since I was in high school, and I'm nearly 40.

even with ko we furthered seeds for the eventual jericho/owens match

it was great for everyone. hell, even had some braun/ellsworth stuff!

Think of it this way. A dunk that won the 1986 dunk contest wouldn't win the 2016 dunk contest. In 1986, 4 teams had less than 60% FG% in the NFL. That is unthinkable in 2016.
