HAHA! "Film it, Im a ****** and I play with toys". Awesome.

Also love the McDonalds in the background. Just A+.

And now, for the finale, this guy is going to use his toys to make Rock lose to Punk. Thats just... its just gold man.

The last true heel eliminated was actually Damien Sandow, so really the final 8 were faces.

They're trying to book a good draw for money, not put on good matches or have good promos or angles. This is also why they haven't been able to create another superstar after Cena.

This top-down style of thinking from them is maddening and shows they are either untalented hacks or don't have faith in wrestling such that they can build a fanbase by providing a quality product. As opposed to hot-shotting, celebrity-dropping and social media aidsing (which probably doesn't even work.)

your ratings drop because you can't get adult males to watch your programming anymore because almost every last one of them hates every face in your company. you try to throw them a bone by giving them the heel champion they want but it's too late and all that does is alienate the children you went all in on so ratings drop even more

BACK TO THE MIDDLE GROUND!

I mean it's not purely the kids buying all the drivel. A woman at a live event sitting behind me, a middle-aged woman, literally started chanting "BE A STAR, BE A STAR" when that commercial hit the titantron.

Yet, after all this, he joked that wrestling was what really ruined his week. "That's the worst thing that happened to me all week, the Rock beat Punk. Did you know that?"

Also that post reminds me of how stupid trying to throw people over looks. For instance [insert superstar here] is throwing somebody over the rope but holds onto his leg and/or back to prevent him from going over. It happened all over the place. For some reason I don't remember it happening so often in Rumbles past. Also things like when Titus O'Neal was up against the ropes facing forward while two guys had his legs...he should've easily been thrown backwards to get him out. These things killed the enjoyment for me during the match.

According to what I've read, they do script out pretty specifically who will go out at what points.

As far as the booked winner botching and accidentally hitting the floor it could obviously happen and they'd just have to cover their tracks between then and WrestleMania to get the card they planned for. During the two world title era, I assume there's always a backup winner (the tentative challenger for the other belt at Mania) booked as a contingency.

I still think that Batista's elimination of Shawn Michaels a few years ago was likely a botch at the moment it happened even if HBK wasn't booked to win. I don't think he was supposed to go out that way. Batista reacted terribly to it. I can't immediately find the clip of it though.

i think that was just masterfully done by HBK although I don't remember Batista's reaction. i think it wasn't accidental because HBK just let's go of the ropes without being hit or thrown out.

6:10 of this video. Closer than I remember but I think it's a work. Batista doesn't really have a reaction at all.

Yeah, probably all went to plan. I didn't realize it happened that close to the end of the Rumble.

Yeah, this. Former WWE writer, Court Bauer, confirmed this on PWTorch Podcast last week, when asked about it.

ending to a divas battle royal was botched a few months ago, triggering kaitlyn's unexpected push when eve missed landing on the apron. layla was sitting there on commentary and her reaction is hilarious.

There was an Alex Riley botch a few years ago wasn't there? Can't remember the details but the commentators kept talking like he was still in there after he had gone, then just realised, hey where is he?

I remember a dirt sheet reporting that "Alex Riley officially became the first person to ever get eliminated by method of his opponent setting him up on the turnbuckle and gently shoving at him for five minutes."

Also while it looks like it will be Rock/Cena at WM I heard a rumour that
Spoiler:
Lesnar
was going to be there, would that even make it any better? Might hide the fact it will be boring.
