Wanted to discuss the Rumble itself, and didn't want to cluster it in the Official Wrestlemania thread, RR Pool thread or the viewing thread.
Plus the RR, along with the other big 3 ppv's, deserve their own threads.
(we should prob also use this thread for viewing).

My top three to ship it, unless HHH decides to enter, in order.

1.Jericho
2.Orton
3.Sheamus

Biggest pop: Lex Luger

orton's gonna win. i call bull**** on the injury and assume it's either:

1. suspension
2. a way to pull him so the shock value of him as a surprise entrant and subsequent winner in his hometown goes way way up. cena won the rumble at the peak of the we hate cena movement, and when he did he was a surprise entrant (supposed to be out with an injury of some kind), and the pop when he A. entered and B. won was enormous considering it was MSG and everyone was booing him mercilessly before and after

Totally agree with you, he will show up and win just like Cena did a few years back, but without smiling like a bitch when he comes out.

ive been thinking about this a bit recently. i come up with the exact same top 3 as you silvio, but with orton and jericho switched at the top.

otoh given that its really randy's rumble to lose (ie its incredibly predictable) and recently he has been putting a lot of guys over, plus the fact that he has won it in the last 3 years, i really feel like some kind of swerve has to be coming.

biggest pop: ric flair

also the 'suprise' return at 26-28 has been done to absolute death and i think even creative is aware of that

Orton wins the RR
Ziggler beats Punk
Bryan retains the WHC
RVD returns and gets the biggest pop

RVD and Flair are no longer under contract?

I'm not sure about Flair, but I know it's been reported that WWE is interested in bringing RVD back, and TNA basically wrote his character off on their last PPV.

RVD is under contract until March and Flair is still on Impact shows. It wouldn't surprise me if they both are in the rumble. Why else would RVD get injured by Gunner?

Jericho will win. I have a feeling it will be a ridiculous finish. I hope he does something so awful that everyone is forced to hate him going into Mania.

Jericho winning without doing anything would be sweet.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Orton win, as he's had a fantastic year.

No way Ziggler goes over Punk, imo.

I would pop huge for a Flair entrance, even if his body does make me want to vomit.

I would not pop for an RVD entrance. Can't stand him. Plus, he'll probably be high.

ya, i cannot stand RVD at all. really dont' get his appeal. he's basically jeff hardy (also horrible) except somehow worse in every facet

meh im a big jeff hardy fan actually (up until tlc 2 at least) and even i cant stand rvd. ive just got no idea what the point of him is. his biggest move seems to be pointing to himself and saying his own name.

I'm not saying I like RVD, I'm just saying that if he returned he would get a big pop. Hell Nash got the biggest pop last year.

I read that DDP signed a Legends contract recently, gotta be a decent chance he makes a token appearance.

Jericho gonna win imo, really hoping it's in some super-pathetic but hilarious way which involves him doing absolutely nothing.

Whatever it was he was booked to be on this week's TV shows and that was pushed back to next week, so he wont be a shock surprise entry.

Confirmed so far:

Cena vs Kane
Punk vs Ziggler, guest ref Mr Johnny L.

Bryan will be on the card against someone ldo.

I assume Beth is still injured so they probably wont have a divas title match. There doesnt have to be a fourth match if they run an average of about 15m per match they will finish fine on time, but id be surprised if there wasnt another on there.

Cena is obv going over Kane, Bryan is like 99% to go over whoever he faces (i guess Henry if Show is injured), Punk vs Ziggler id say is 90% Punk, 10% Ziggler but that 10% is probably being really really generous.

If you want to make predictions someone could make a prediction game. Winners of every match + predicting first and last entrant, most eliminations etc of the rr match.

1. Sheamus
2. Orton
3. Cm punk
for rr win

Not sure who mentioned it in the other thread, but never has the #30 position been won by default. Would be pretty epic if that happened this year and Jericho was #30 and just came out and celebrated and then left. Also, of course epic because then I'd ship the highstakes pool.

Jericho celebrating on his way to the ring, standing in the middle, the lights go out, the jacket turns on and he points to the WM sign would be ****ing epic! This is like the first time ive ever heard something so ridiculous and thought "wow, thats awesome".

I would gladly pay my hundred dollars if that happened.

The more I think about it, the more I think it is actually a distinct possibility. If after RAW he still hasn't said anything or wrestled I'll be surprised if it doesn't happen. It would kind of be anti-climactic for him to wrestle in the RR (nor make much sense [not that that matters a lot of the time]) having not given a reason for his "uninvolvement" in anything physical/vocal in past RAWs
