Oh looks like the 49ers lost. Shame, I wanted them to win, I like SRM.

FWIW I don't know what functional difference it makes to call holding in the end zone on that safety. Holding in the end zone just causes a safety, the result they were voluntarily taking anyway. The play goes on so the seconds run off anyway. Seems like one of those tactical penalties that it's good to commit.

The uncalled holding penalty was a wise violation by the Ravens, and not calling it happened to not have an impact. But refs are there to enforce rules, and they weren't doing so late in the game; it was just another example of them not doing so.

I honestly wish the Niners were less evil than they are. The sheer stress of it even being a possibility that the Seahawks could lose to those ****ing waste of life sons of bitches could make this whole thing so unbearable that I can't even manage to enjoy it.

Games can be stressful enough when you just have to root for your team. Make it the playoffs and the stress increases because a loss could end your year. But suddenly my team has been entrusted with protecting the sanctity of football itself by being the team with the best shot at making sure that douchebag Harbaugh stays away from the Lombardi Trophy. That's just a bit much is all.

At least the Niners don't stack the deck by limiting their online ticket sales to resident of 6 states only (not including California)

Taking measures to try to have home fans in the home stadium is "stacking the deck."

No, of course it isn't. I'm kind of amazed that anyone would be bothered by that (except I suppose for a Californian who wants to try to pay face value for a game ticket). There's some really sparse number of tickets that nobody in the public has any legit shot at getting anyway, as they'll get locked down within 20 seconds by professional ticket brokers who will mark them up x3 and put them on StubHub and other such sites.

The actual effect of the whole thing will range between minimal and non-existent. People from California can still of course buy tickets through the third party websites, which is what basically anyone buying a ticket this week to the game is going to have to do no matter what state they live in unless they already have a ticket through their season ticket package.

FWIW Denver is doing the same thing as far as geographic limitations on ticket sales for the AFC title game goes. Being the proud owner of a Y chromosome, and also knowing just how few actual members of the public get in on those public on-sale tickets at face value, it wouldn't occur to me to be bothered by that either.

So your sound logic is its capacity to cause harm is relatively small, therefore it doesn't matter. Brokers will buy the tickets regardless, this assuredly wont effect that. It only has the potential to negatively effect fans not in the 6 states.
