It's sad as in upsetting to me not the people who don't like him are sad. To each their own I just think people are going into the matches with the wrong expectation.

I expect someone that's going to be a key part of any promotion to be able to wrestle good-great matches consistently. He can't do that. He's been apart of some great tag and 6-man matches but I've never come away from one of his singles matches saying, "damn that was a great match".

I think the difference is on the good-great bit. I think he does wrestle good matches, his WWE formula matches got a bit stale I agree. I'm expecting him to do some slightly more hardcore type matches on PPV which is where I think he will do well.

If they just use him as another guy I agree probably not money well spent. This all applies a tonne more with Jericho though.

Shibata's back? Shibata's back!!!

Just like that I am pulled back into NJPW. Can't wait to see what happens and what he can do.

That dropkick was > SummerSlam.

Wrestling is so weird. Kenta was absolute dogshit in WWE at every location of his stay. The most interesting thing he did was not do his finisher for a while. Yet him sitting crosslegged after joining BC made me interested in seeing more of him when I thought that could never have been the case. Maybe he'll still suck at actual matches but at least for now I'm into it.

I see the guy who should have won last year, won this year

Yeah. It's too bad that njpw seems so high on Jay White because I don't find him very interesting, but Kota taking it down is a good result. A year late (Kota/Kenny was a $ main) but should still be really good.

I'm off in a little bit to go see the NJPW show in Massachusetts.

Hope it's good.

I'd like to see Ibushi beat Okada and then lose to Naito tomorrow night. Mostly because I wanna see Ibushi/Naito at WK more than a match done two years ago.

Hiromu's certainly winning. idk any of the other title holders.

I never ever ever want to see Ibushi/Naito again. One of those guys will legit kill the other.

Oh right, I'd forgotten about that gif I posted earlier itt where there was a german suplex that went wrong nearly killing Ibushi

Well I'm in for both nights.

Very interesting stip on the Tanahashi vs Jericho match. If Tanahashi wins he gets a shot at Jericho's AEW title. It doesn't say what promotion that would be in but if this is the start of an AEW/NJPW talent share relationship like ROH had then that will be a huuuuuuugggggggge gain for AEW.

I'd assume that it'd be in AEW since it's for their championship and not a title vs. title match.

I like seeing people's picks

Mine were a bit more wishful than realistic though. I really hope Jericho doesn't go over but I can see it happening. Same with Moxley winning both matches but I thought it could be a good end to their story with Juice finally beating him for the title at the big show.

I hope we're right about Naito :S

idk the story with Juice/Mox. Not in tune with NJPW for the most part.

I picked Naito simply because I can't see him losing big time at the Dome again.

I hope we get an appearance by Shibata at some point

Grandpa match was way more enjoyable than it should have been. Sasuke is a maniac.

I get Liger going out on his back but after taking an ass to the face? I thought he would have gone over this match and lost tomorrow so guess we'll see.

Undercards always deliver. Probably because they're never one-on-one matches so always keep things quick. Looking forward to his match tomorrow night.

Fale seems to have gotten fat.

Ishii's the GOAT.

"HOLY ****!!! OH MY GOD!!!!" whoever said that is ****ing great

Yeah that Ishii suplex was insane.

I guess Juice isn't winning tomorrow. Juice's new gimmick is also extremely bad.
