This continued yesterday when he made some comments about WWE "being left behind" in the ring. Now he's got a bunch of pro-WWE people telling him how great Rollins/Styles/Zayn/Bryan/Owens/NXT/etc is and the anti-WWE people praising him for ****ting on WWE.

- HOT TAKE
- Watch as people give you free advertising everywhere while arguing about it with each other

I still enjoy his stuff and he's far from the first person I followed that went down this path but man I liked it more when he just kept everything in perspective and made reasonable points on the product, matches, behind the scenes stuff, etc.

It's hard to argue that WWE hasn't been left behind. I don't think it's the performers' fault. They're on a strict time limit and they have to get all their **** in so they go balls to the wall. I've outlined a few times why I don't like Seth and it's not because I don't think he can put together great matches, it's because WWE has a formula and that formula sucks.

Obviously he's click baiting a lot these days. I find it interesting to see the takes on both sides when he says something so I don't mind.

******* for Okada/Omega 4.

Knew it was coming, still freaking dumb.

Seriously, I don't care how good Okada-Omega IV was (and it was amazing), it's not two full stars better than Taker-HBK WM25 or Bret-Austin WM13 or numerous other matches (such as the Kobashi-Misawa classics). It just makes Big Dave look silly.

Just take note of how often his 7 star rating will come up over the next 2 weeks in spots it otherwise wouldn't if it were 5. It'll be a large amount of free publicity he gets when that happens and then he'll make more money by having interested parties check it out. I mean I've barely posted about wrestling here in 6 months and I'm talking about it so I guess I'm not above it. It's a direct tradeoff of credibility for money, and it's hard to fault him for it since credibility doesn't really matter that much anymore in the first place.

Taker/HBK @25 didn't get 5*
6/9/95 will always and forever be the GOAT match. Impossible to top a 4 year story line that finally culminates in a perfect match.
The only thing that could've possibly been better is a 5* match when Take lost his streak in his 22nd WM match.
I realize those things are my opinion but they're also facts

edit:
Listening to Dave's latest cast and he says that it's possible but doubtful that Jeff Cobb's in the G-1 tournament. plz to be getting that bloated ***** in the tournament. He's incredible.

If Okada vs Bryan ever happens.... I'm calling 10 stars.

So with Jericho winning the IWGP IC Title, he's bound to be in the G1 Climax, right? That sounds cool if he's on top form and have the free time in his busy schedule to do it.

When do they announce the competitors? Seems like it should be close to now.

Competitors are announced on Sunday or Monday. Fairly sure it's Monday.

Jericho's gone until at least Destruction in September where he'll likely have an angle and then a match at KoPW in October. He's touring from July-September w/Fozzy.

Just checked the Fozzy tour page. Yep, he's busy. Won't be in G1. That's a bummer.

There's some co-branded thing w/NJPW and someone else that's streaming an entire live event for free on Twitch. Here's the main event which is the only interesting looking match tbh.

Seeing Kenny w/the IWGP belt feels wrong.

Just my opinion, but ... weird, yes. Wrong, no. Well deserved for Kenny.

The odd thing about that graphic is Kenny has the heavyweight belt but Hiromu doesn't have the junior belt.

On Twitch, you say? Also, I have that particular day off from work. Well, I might as well come back from my self-imposed hiatus from watching wrestling to watch that match.

CEO gaming, ehhh? Both Kenny and Xavier Woods have been clashing with each other in fighting video games for the last few years at that event. I say highly likely that Xavier Woods will be at the very least, an observer in that match.

Having Kenny vs. Kota in a throw away G-1 match seems sub optimal. I imagine it'll have some stakes and send Kota to the finals but that just seems bad. It could easily headline KoPW or Invasion next year.

Block A looks meh. I was hoping Okada and Tana would be kept away from each other as well.

Block B is stacked. Ishii vs. Omega/Ibushi/Goto/Naito/Zack will produce great matches. Ibushi vs. Naito is very intriguing.

Finals prediction based on nothing: Okada vs. Ibushi

Listening to Da Meltz and he said that Jeff Cobb's facing Goto for the NEVER championship in San Fran next month. That match could be awesome.

Hiromu vs. Dragon Lee being talked about for Cow Palace as well.

One of Omega/Naito, Omega/Ibushi or Naito/Ibushi will be the final Block B match with the winner making the final. Any way it happens, it will be awesome. I think the third scenario is best. I also think Omega should lose somewhere in the neighborhood of four times in the tourney, as he should kayfabe still be exhausted from Dominion.

(I know, so should Okada, but we all know he's at least making the final.)

Looking forward to Omega/ZSJ which will be a very different type of match for Omega.

The champion usually loses a few matches to set up matches for Destruction, KoPW, and I think December.

Okada even lost to Evil last year to set up a match between them.

If I had to guess 3 people he'd lose to, I'd say Zack, Ishii, Sanada. Him and Naito being in the same block is interesting.

Omega-Naito opens B block main events, Omega-Ibushi closes it.

Naito faces ZSJ on last day. I could see that being set up as important.

So last year the last announced match in each block were the de facto semifinals (Omega/Okada and Naito/Tanahashi).

It it usually that formulaic?

Here the last matches announced are Okada/Tanahashi for A block and Ibushi/Omega for B block.

He probably won't do much, but it's pretty cool that Haku is in a 10-man tag with GOD (who are relatives) at the G1 Special. I Haku. Tough SOB.

They are his sons. Camacho is biological and Tama is adopted. I’ve always been a big fan of Haku, he’s right up there with La Parka for me in terms of wrestlers I love that most people don’t really care about.

All right, the stream is up for the CEO x NJPW show.

https://player.twitch.tv/?channel=ceogaming

This place does not look very empty and barren which is a good sign and a surprise since this card is pretty much carried on the backs of one main event, but I'm pumped as hell for the main event even if there are no story progression.
