Under. Naito/Okada has historically been underwhelming for some reason. The only match of theirs that I've really enjoyed was 3/4/12. On the bright side, they've only had two singles matches since 10/14. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jr. 4-way took MotN honors tbh.

I have to admit this : I'm hyped for Jericho/Kenny. There, I said it.

edit: when I say "been underwhelming". I mean it hasn't lived up to that 3/4/12 match which was their very first singles match. They haven't had a bad match together.

edit 2: that match got ****3/4 from Big Dave. They've faced 6 times since and only gotten ****1/2 once and all other 5 are ****1/4.

3/4/12 is easily one of my top ten matches of the 2010's for NJPW. Should watch prior to WK if you haven't seen it

You're probably dead on.

I would prefer MiSu and Jericho winning (and Jericho subsequently having more NJPW appearances).

I won't be shocked if Okada wins, but that would leave Naito in an awful spot.

White winning would be a massive shock, but it wouldn't be the first time New Japan turbo-shot someone to the moon (Okada in 2012-13).

Ibushi losing to Cody would be a travesty but I already posted in thread that I think that's what's going down. I really wish Ibushi would sign a full-time multiyear deal.

Okada winning would be the worst booking decision in wrestling since HHH beat Booker T

The one I'm most unsure about is the Cody/Ibushi match. However, I just can't see Ibushi winning when he continues to be a free agent and Cody's doing something. A win is possibly beneficial to his ROH career as well.

After that, unsure of the Jericho thing because as you said, he's booked for New Years Dash.

This is true. It'd be slightly different because Okada beat a jobber in a minute or two at WK VI and then won the belt the next month. A big reason I think Tanahashi's winning is because he's lost the last two years (Okada, Naito). I'd be pleasantly surprised if he lost. Where does Jay go if he has a good performance and loses? Goto? Where does he go if he wins? Okada? Another reason for Tanahashi to lose is because he needs time off for his injuries.

Can Gedo resist the man who makes it rain money?

edit: imagine MiSu winning and a hair vs. hair match between him and Jericho later on

Watching this live and very excited. Really want to see Naito win. Had no idea Jericho was booked for NYD, pretty interesting but still don’t think it changes the result.

Cody/Kota much better than expected. Cody's tights were pretty awesome and Brandy looked hot. Result was as well.

Card's been way better than I anticipated already .
Match result there was indeed
Cody the three star general.

It'd also appear that with the victory, Ibushi is the next challenger for the IWGP belt. Ibushi vs. Naito = :fap:

Kind of thinking Suzuki loses this just because he wears a hat everywhere in public and it will take him like a month to grow back.

Yeah, the fact that MiSu's already almost bald kind of makes this match a foregone conclusion.
