If you have any Indy or Puroresu misc. stuff, POST IT HERE.

ROH is hosting Final Battle 2011 a week from today. Here is the card:

Davey Richards (c) vs Eddie Edwards - ROH World Championship
Jay Lethal (c) vs Mike Bennett vs El Generico - ROH TV Title
Haas/Benjamin vs The Briscoe Brothers - ROH World Tag Titles
Kevin Steen vs Steve Corino - Jimmy Jacobs is special ref
Roderick Strong vs ??? - open challenge
Young Bucks vs Future Shock vs C&C Co. vs The Bravados vs All Night Express - Gauntlet match for future Tag Title shot
Michael Elgin vs TJ Perkins
Tommaso Ciampa vs ??? - another open challenge

The card is very promising with the Davey/Eddie rematch from Best in the World where they fought in a match that should be in serious consideration for MOTY. Kevin Steen's return should be great.

I haven't watched ROH since BitW but this looks like a good card to start watching again. I'm going to post the Davey/Eddie match in a hour or two so anybody who wants to get into ROH knows what they're in for .

New Japan Pro Wrestling is also hosting an event next Friday and next Saturday. These shows precede their Wrestlemania show which takes place on 1/4 every year called WrestleKingdom. These are the cards:

12/23:
1. Kyosuke Mikami vs. Hiromu Takahashi
2. Hirooki Goto, Ryusuke Taguchi & Hideo Saito vs. Takashi Iizuka, Yujiro Takahashi & Gedo
3. Yuji Nagata, Wataru Inoue & King Fale vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii
4. Special Singles Match: Satoshi Kojima vs. Karl Anderson
5. Special Singles Match: Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Giant Bernard
6. Special 8 Man Tag Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe, Tiger Mask & KUSHIDA vs. Minoru Suzuki, Yoshihiro Takayama, TAKA Michinoku & Taichi
7. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title: Prince Devitt (c) vs. Rocky Romero
8. IWGP Intercontinental Title: Masato Tanaka (c) vs. Tomoaki Honma

12/24
1. Tiger Mask, Ryusuke Taguchi & KUSHIDA vs. Rocky Romero, Jado & Gedo
2. Special Singles Match I: Hideo Saito vs. Takashi Iizuka
3. Special Singles Match II: Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Karl Anderson
4. Special Singles Match III: Satoshi Kojima vs. Giant Bernard
5. Special Singles Match IV: Wataru Inoue vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
6. Special Singles Match V: Hirooki Goto vs. Yujiro Takahashi
7. Special Singles Match VI: Yuji Nagata vs. Toru Yano
8. Special Tag Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi & Togi Makabe vs. Minoru Suzuki & Yoshihiro Takayama

On 1/4 Tanahashi (c) is facing Suzuki for the IWGP championship and Makabe is facing Takayama in a grudge match so that tag match should be off the hook. A lot of the matches stand out though. These are going to be really good cards.

Thank god someone made this thread. This was becoming a WWE forum. Really looking forward to Final Battle, always a good show. Pretty hyped up for it actually. Been watching all the Sinclair shows, can't wait for this.

I'm hyped for FB to. I'm one of the few not looking forward to Steen's return because I think the story line has been played out to death since after BitW. It may be great though but he's a world class wrestler and Corino is not going to put in a good match so w/e.

It should be really difficult for the Wolves to top their match @ BitW but it's going to be fun to watch them try.

Elgin vs TJ Perkins could easily be a show stealer.

Nigel might be putting in a match against Roddy and that would be f'n sick.

TV title match is whatever. Maybe they put the belt on Bennett though and have Lethal become a main eventer.

Really wish there was a fresher tag title match. Seeing Haas/Benj defend against FS or YB would've been much sweeter.

I host them on my youtube channel as soon as they get released. There are no live streams for NJPW stuff. Sweet graphic for those shows to...

Briscoes vs. WGTT should be awesome. I wouldn't mind seeing Shelton Benjamin vs. Davey Richards though.

you mean like this?

Hansen vs Vader - Vader's eye pops out, graphic obv.

Hansen vs Kobashi - 5 star match

MVP was the first Intercontinental Champion in NJPW having won it earlier this year but he dropped it in October and lost the rematch in December. Not a big name yet. His tag match in January is pretty much a filler match.

I'm torn I love WGTT but Shelton and MVP should work a good match. Who are they facing?

Masato Tanaka/Yujiro Takahashi

Tanaka and MVP have thrown in some good matches for the I-C title and I'm high on Y. Takahashi so hopefully it's good.

shameless bump of this thread for my puro match of the day:

Misawa vs Jumbo - The Rematch. Often thrown in the top 5 of any puro fans lists. One of the greats. Great atmosphere, announcers screaming their ass off making it seem important, and best of all a great wrestling match.

Uploading NJPWs 12/23 event to youtube (don't see it posted yet) and it should be up in around 2.5 hours. Watched this already and Romero vs Devitt is fantastic, really didn't expect such a good match here. The 8-man with Tanahashi's crew vs MiSu's crew is also great. Good stuff leading into the 12/24 show and WK.

ROHs final battle looked pretty good. from what i hear Elgin vs Perkins is a must see. Corino vs Steen was a war and the aftermath was great...anything leading to more steen vs generico is great though. mixed thoughts on the tag title and world title matches though. i'll host it on youtube tomorrow when i get up.

A solid show but not as great as past Final Battles. Elgin has been consistently putting out great matches, he's becoming one of my favourite wrestlers to watch. Very good squash match with Perkins to start off the show. I did not like the Corino and Steen match, it's not my thing. I also didn't like the Briscoes and WGTT title match mainly because of the amount of headshots that were taken. There's one BRUTAL chairshot to Jay that even Kevin Kelly screamed "PUT YOUR HANDS UP" as he legitamately gasped in horror. With what we have learned with regards to concussions, there really is no place for that kind of stuff in pro wrestling. The Davey/Edwards match I thought was pretty mediocre. Davey Richards is probably my favourite wrestler in the world, I just love his matches. However this one was pretty dull by his standards.

On the bright side, awesome to see Hero back and that was quite a surprise. Wished he would've gone over though. A good three way elimination match with Bennett/Generico/Lethal as well as a great gaunlet tag team match. I really like the finish to the gauntlet match. Overall a solid effort.

Thank you so much for uploading this!!! Have something to do on Xmas now after the foods

Final Battle was OK but it felt really low budget and ****ty production-wise. Also way too many chairshots to the head in the Steen match.

elgin is super solid. i've said a few times on here that some day he's headed to the big time.

i like the corino/steen type matches but this match didn't have a good flow to it and corino just sucks so it was a bummer. slow and boring. it's incredible how good over the years wwe has been at street fights with the latest example being xtian/orton @ SSlam. the E needs more of that.

megawolves explode was so bad. the ending was worse than their BitW ending where richards said "You'll always be my brother". gtfo with pretending to be michaels and flair.

haven't watched any other matches and will probably only watch the elgin vs tjp match.

uploading NJPWs 12/24 show right now . should be up in 3 hrs or so. Apparently it was really good but I'm resisting spoilers and gonna watch the whole thing.

re: 12/23 show. Anderson vs Kojima and Romero vs Devitt are must see matches.

I thought the Briscoes vs WGTT was a great match. Same goes for Richards vs. Edwards III. Yes, RoH in the past has been much better but lets face it, there is no better wrestling than what RoH puts out. I dunno, I guess the briscoes watched too much Cactus Jack VHS
