Absolutely love Suzuki over Tanahashi. Hopefully Tanahashi can take some time off.

Not sure what I think of Omega out of Bullet Club and reunion of Golden Lovers. I liked White a fair amount in that match.

The card looks great. In particular, you’ll love watching Keith Lee, ZSJ, Matt Riddle, and Darby Allin perform.
Thanks for sharing the interview. I learned quite a bit while reading it. How big is the venue for the show in Feb? How's the crowd, generally?

Thanks again.

Glad you liked it!

The venue is small (think a VFW/Armory hall) and there will be a couple hundred people there tops. Not a bad seat in the place. After the show you can meet the wrestlers and but their merch, which as the interview indicated is their best way to make money.

Despite my best efforts my boys are indifferent to wrestling, yet they had an awesome time in Joppa.

Found this interesting.

Looks like Bullet Club will splinter into three groups ... Omega/Ibushi/Young Bucks as one, Cody/Hangman as another, and Guerrillas/Fale as a third. Not sure where Scurill would fit in. I'm not digging the most recent Being the Elite episodes, but I will say that the overall storyline has me intrigued.

As for New Beginning in Osaka, Okada-Sanada was really good over the final 15 minutes and did as good a job making me believe Sanada had a chance as they probably could have. If Sanada had any charisma whatsoever he could be a star because he's a much better athlete than I realized, but he has very little "it" factor. Ospreay-Takahashi disappointed me, and Goto-Evil was what I expected, which is to say perfectly acceptable and not much else.

Yeah recent Being the Elite eps haven't been great, I'm just not a fan of anything Cody does and Hangman is useless.

This was awesome though:

NJPW just isn't very good right now

I don't agree with that. They've had 2 shows since WK, both have been good and have advanced/started a bunch of storylines.

I just can't get behind the worst stable in history just absolutely crushing all opposition. Chaos sucks and Okada running through the hottest act in NJPW one by one with ease is Cena vs the nexus come again. Jay White cosplaying my chemical romance is by far the best act in that stable and he is garbage.

Even the Golden Lovers reunion is lame because because it is revolving around Cody who is just the worst.

The matches are still very good (and I am a match guy). The storylines have been pretty meh.

Yeah you're both right. No one can convince me that Okada going over Naito was a good idea. Jay White is boring and I don't see what people see in him. Cody is indeed the worst and Bullet Club as a collective has been bad ever since The Elite went and did their own thing.

Matches have still been awesome though, Golden Lovers are back together and Suzuki is champ. I don't think the overall show is bad there's just a few blemishes here and there.

Speaking of good shows, I just got back from the NJPW Melbourne show and it was pretty awesome.

Major majority of the crowd was in their 20s, there were barely any kids at all and none in my section which was completely different to the WWE show I went to where the majority was kids. Crowd was pretty hot all night but there were some bad chants here and there, one fall chant for every match, this is awesome for nothing etc. No ****, at least 50% of the crowd was wearing Bullet Club shirts and most of them were the fake ones from ebay, Young Bucks actually called people out on it at the end. The ring was tiny, smallest I've seen at any show.

The card was weird, they had some local wrestlers go up against NJPW guys but most of the local guys were trash. Pretty much anyone that wrestles in NJPW was over huge with the crowd though, even Lance Ancher was getting pops, probably because he was wrestling some local dude hardly anyone knew.

Jay White also wrestled a local and is as boring in person as he is in TV but the crowd loved him anyway. Suzuki absolutely beat the **** out of some local guy which was awesome to watch. Crowd gave him a standing ovation at the end, really happy I saw him murder someone in person. Young Bucks and Cody wrestled Kushida, Juice and a Samoan I've never seen before, he wasn't local though. Cody and Bucks got massive pops from the crowd, some dude in front of me was literally shaking when Cody came out. Bucks are insane live and were easily the best in ring the whole night. Seeing them in person gives me so much more appreciation for their work. They work the crowd so well and everything they do in the ring just looks so nice. They did a promo at the end telling Cody to fix the Bullet Club and said **** The Revival.

Okada, Romero and Ishii vs Omega and GOD was the main. Kenny easily the most over all night, the crowd went stupid whenever he did anything at all. Okada was the second most over but completely phoned the whole night in. Both entrances were epic. They did a spot where Okada and Omega faced off/had a back and forth and the crowd went absolutely bananas which was pretty cool to see. Apart from that spot Okada did absolutely nothing at all, Kenny did quite a bit though. Apart from Okada phoning it in and all the local guys it was a really good show and if they come back I'm snap buying a ticket again.

I am jelly. Thanks for the tr

Not surprised about TYB. They seem like the funnest part of any show that shows any kind of enthusiasm. I'd recommend checking out pretty much all of their work in PWG if you haven't seen any/too much of it.

Maybe next time they'll actually have Naito and Tanahashi. Though Tanahashi's completely ****ed up atm so they get a pass for him.

I went with 5 other casual and non wrestling fans who didn't know anyone except "Goldust's brother" and all of them came out liking TYB the most. They definitely put on the best show from the min they walked out. With that said the girls we went with thought Okada's entrance was the highlight of the night.

No Naito and Tanahashi was disappointing but given how quickly tickets sold out I'm guessing they'll be back.

The match itself was pretty good, not that that's a surprise. Ospreay absolutely tagged Okada with a couple rapid-fire kicks about three-fourths of the way in.

Seriously wtf is that card...

I've had two months (or more) now to come to the conclusion that teaming Omega and Ibushi up was a TERRIBLE move, for everyone involved (Omega, Ibushi and the company). They are both just wasted in tags. I hope there ends up being some swerve (likely with Omega pulling a heel turn). But I doubt it.

Also, ZSJ wrestled his butt off in the NJ Cup, but I just can't care when he looks like a twig.
