This is the most ROH ass NXT match I've ever seen

Oh ****ing come on. Cancel wrestling entirely. Everyone turn off their TVs immediately.

That was ****ing terrible.

Alright, that was an absurd kickout...

OMFG. This is absolutely idiotic.

The ****ing crowd should either be showering the ring with projectiles or staging an angry walkout. Instead they're chanting and cheering. The entire art form is officially irreparably broken as of this moment.

This match sucks

I was going to mess with the thread title, but Feldman is watching on delay and I wanted to give him the privilege of living out that atrocity unspoiled.

That was the exact type of wrestling match I hate the most. I get it, big move after big move is cool and all, but it gets to the point of absurdity that it really throws out any semblance of storytelling in the match

How awesome would it have been if Ciampa threw him into the wall again?

I was thinking the same. I was also hearing Bobby in my head "this is sickening!!" because it's so dumb and is truly sickening.

Ha, yes it would have. It was unfortunate that you knew that Ciampa really couldn't get physical tonight and thus that swerve wasn't realistically available.

Cliffs on why everyone hates this match so much? I mean I watched it, just kind of indifferent to NXT so don't get the intense scorn. Are finisher kickouts the new "what" chant?

The hate for superman kickouts isn't really anything new. Unfortunately it's only getting worse, because the braintrust at WWE prefers chant-inducing spots over stories, and to the extent that they do tell stories anymore, their go-to version of storytelling is to build to OMG shocking kickouts. And, like any other cheap high, they have to keep upping the dosage in order to get the recipient there again. People now know the big kickouts are coming, so the kickout sequences are becoming more and more ridiculous in order to continue to create some semblance of surprise.

Basically this.

It's one thing to make Gargano look tough. But he took heavy shots and finishers from a fresh Fish and O'Reilly and then Adam Cole in the span of like 30 seconds after fighting for a half hour.

At some point, it doesn't make Gargano look good. It makes Undisputed Era look bad (and by extension, every opponent that has ever fallen to those moves in the past).

It was ****ing nonsense, and (at least for me) ruined the end of one of the best character developments in wrestling history.

tbh I really didn't enjoy any of the show. It's all just way too much. From the choreographed small guy garbage, to the "I'm an MMA fighter but fight like ****", to the completely illogical things that happen which show wrestling as extremely fake, and of course, the finisher kickouts. The commentary was poor as well.

All of that has it's place but it's just overdone to the nth degree.

I thought the UK match and the women's match were great.

You guys are hilarious... This was a spectacular 3 hours of wrestling. I don’t know how you will ever be pleased if you were not satisfied with this.

The biggest problem with a 2 out of 3 falls match is the first pin on each guy is always silly. I mean, Johnny took the knee to the back of the head and got pinned for the first fall. He then goes on for 30 minutes, takes on all of UE, 2 superkicks, the same knee to the back of the head, and he’s able to kick out? That’s absurd.

I don’t generally mind all the kick outs, but that match stood out as especially bad.

I enjoyed the hell out of the first 3 matches.

The women’s match was not good. Bianca is just not great in the ring and while the Japanese women are fine, they don’t realistically look like a threat to Shayna.

The main event was good, not great. I already posted above about the 2 out of 3 falls match and how I don’t like that stipulation. At least with a submission, it makes more sense to tap out immediately when you know you have another loss available to you and you don’t need to take more damage. Quick pins 3 minutes in are ridiculous and would never happen in any other match than a 2 out of 3 falls match.

The end with Ciampa was a fun way to cap it off though and NXT does well with callbacks in general.
