If one or two people do it, it's probably not. Didn't they do an angle a few months ago where Titus O'Neill showed up and ran down the place and Zayn and Neville were quick to defend it. I just hope this doesn't become a habit. I'd rather they go with something like Axel saying he's here to reinvigorate his career rather then "now I'm stuck down here cause I sucked up there".

I got the impression Emma is turning heel, so her promo was fine for me in that context.

Emma was like SUPER CLEARLY working heel (they've been dropping obvious hints about it for a few weeks) and that whole segment was perfect for both her and Bayley. (and I wasn't watching at the time, but it's my understanding that Emma was a heel in NXT prior to her callup).

Crowe is complete ass. The gimmick is awful, the look is awful, the finisher is awful.

I'm just a bit confused as to who is actually going to work as a face in the NXT women's division, especially if they call Charlotte up to the WWE roster. Sasha and Becky Lynch are both working heel, Emma is seemingly turning heel, and they've teased like Bayley could turn as well. Sasha's reaction to Charlotte's display of sportsmanship seemed to make it clear enough that she's not turning face right now, so I don't know what they're leaving themselves with. I guess main roster divas coming down to face the NXT heel women?

Maybe I'm misreading and Bayley isn't turning. She shouldn't.

I don't read Bayley as close to a heel turn, just that she's getting more of an edge towards the WWE's idea of a face (lol CENA). The idea of her turning heel makes me so sad- just thinking about all the little kids that love her. (like I'm now legit sad at my desk at work- stupid wrestling).

Alexa Bliss is an obvious face (I just kinda wonder how long for NXT she is, as her look/style is probably a better fit for the main roster and keeping her in NXT might be setting some money on fire. On RAW her lack of in-ring polish won't be as important as the fact that she's a real life fairy person).

They've also got a few women who aren't on TV yet but seem to be working their live events.

The NXT crowd should really be better than to sing along with Colin and Enzo's intro.

So they have created a worse gimmick than Adam Rose and New Day.

I am legitimately more excited about Alex Riley vs. Kevin Owens next week than any of the Wrestlemania matches.

This is exactly how I see it. To me it seems like they are setting up Bayley to eventually take the belt by "toughening" her up. I'd be surprised if either Sasha or Charlotte don't get called up on the Raw after WM.

I don't think Emma has worked heel before(she came out dancing and popping bubbles in her first NXT run) but she is clearly working one now. Like Dids mentioned, they have a ton of women signed and doing house shows.

Rumor is that both, Charlotte and Sasha, are getting called up after WM.

The intro is ****ing awesome and I actually like that it's now the same every time BECAUSE the crowd can do it word for word.

LAst night was great.

That was the perfect formula for Enzo and Cass and I now totally see how they could work in the WWE. Cass as this monster who just uses Enzo as a weapon, and Enzo as this beloved perpetual lawn dart in peril.

Really solid.

The Alexa Bliss/Carmella match was great, crowd was weirdly dead a lot of it. Bliss really impressed me. (there were some botches, dunno what the 2nd to last spot was supposed to be, Carmela put her knees up but Bliss still got a 2 count- but overall very fun).

I dislike Alex Riley enough as a commentator that I can't get behind him as a worker (shocked by how much the crowd was behind him)- but it's a great story. Excited to see Owens murder him.

Owens is so good. His accent adds just a perfect little touch to his promos.

Really happy they put Tyler over Itami. Good for booking to send the message that these new guys aren't untouchable. Itami's so over that a loss doesn't hurt him and can do a ton to elevate Breeze.

It's just a personal taste thing.

It's mostly that they got out of control at some point and now you have stupid **** like crowds singing along with literally anything, from heel authority figures saying "9.99" to the "WHAT?" thing still not fully going away over a frigging decade later.

The crowds don't discern between what would be a cool sing-along and what would be really ****ing stupid, and it's caused me an increasing level of get-off-my-lawn irritation that I now just sort of hate on all of them.

Objectively they're the opposite of a problem; they get wrestlers over. I get them. I just strongly tend to hate them.

I've stopped hating "What" chants because they're so avoidable if you just deviate from the stock WWE cadence that haunts far too many promos. So they almost serve as an incentive for people to be more creative.

I really kinda hope that the Owens/Riley angle ends up with Albert in the ring as well, in part because I've grown to hate him in the booth, and in part because I've always been an Albert mark.

The problem with the catch phrases is (as with many things) overuse. If Enzo did it half the time rather than every time, it would be way better.

The 3 worst fan chants/sing alongs in history:

1 - "What's up?"

2 - "You Still Got It" after a guy's been gone for like 2 weeks.

3 - "This Is Awesome" for stuff that's really just generally mediocre.

Whoo, What, Yes, Road Dogg, and Enzo.....none of that stuff has ever really annoyed me if it's used at the right time.

breeze vs. rose was fine for what it was, an entertaining squash. breeze seems like his has potential but he's definitely not there yet. his gimmick doesn't strike me as something that would work for more than a month or two at the WWE level. his finisher sucks.

blake/murphy are alright i guess. they don't really do it for me but i'm guessing they are gonna drop the belts to enzo and cassady soon. i typically hate guys like enzo/cassady but for some reason i really enjoy their spiel.

what is corbin's gimmick exactly? that trademark thing he does where he just stares blankly into space is ******ed. he moves around pretty well for a big guy.

solomon crowe has a ******ed look and awful finisher (though it's my understanding his finisher has been changed since this aired or is in the process of being changed per his twitter).

itami is decent but i don't think he has what it takes to be anything more than a JTTS on the main roster. he's kind of on the small side and doesn't speak english but he's probably too big to slap a mask on him and ask him to do flippy **** so i'm not sure wheat kind of role this guy fills. i didn't follow his work in NOAH or ROH; i'm sure his style worked well there but it wont in WWE (at least until they are more willing to let indy guys work their types of matches).

riley/owens have been very entertaining. riley is being built up 100x better than reigns is, which is disturbing.

The yes chants don't annoy me. Somehow I separate those from everything else in my mind.

This is sort of the flip side of the "booing Reigns because Vince's push sucks" thing. Riley hasn't been all that special in building this story, but Owens has been awesome and the story has been simple but really well-written, which leads to Riley getting big pops.

The crowd is always reacting to the overall picture of what they're getting out of what's in front of them in that moment. It's not always about that specific worker even if it seems like that sometimes.

What about when Brie Bella does them?
