If we are using the watered down definition of the word awesome, then yeah that is awesome. When I think awesome, I think Hogan/Rock at Wm 18. Those two standing in the ring facing off before any action in front of a sold out Skydome was awesome. Sasha and Bailey standing there in front of 400 idiots wasnt near the same level. That isnt a knock on Sasha or Bailey, but Im not going to try and compare them to Rock and Hogan.

I watched it as well, and felt the same way about that opening promo. As for the battle royal, Im old school when it comes to battle royals, and I usually enjoy them. This one was ok, but as someone who isnt the most devoted watcher of NXT, I didnt know more than half of the people in the match.

And as much as I hated the crowd in the opening promo, I hated them even more at the end of this. I understand that everyone wanted Tyler to win. I like him too, and would like to have seen him in that spot, but they tried to hijack that show after he was eliminated. And then they were happy that Tyler eliminated Joe. So that stupid crowd would rather have seen Apollo or Baron wrestle for the title then quite possibly the most talented worker on the roster? Damn idiots!

Gable/Jordan were not on this episode so it was terrible by default.


Insta-pushing every new signee from Japan/the Indies has absolutey ruined nxt. Everyone should have to work their way up the roster like Zayn did.

As a wrestling fan, that was awesome. I mean, compared to the **** we get week in and week out, that was awesome, so fans take what they can get. I'l also say that I didn't like the chant but I can understand it. In Wyatts/Shield I thought it added something.

I think "ruined" is a bit strong, but I agree with the overall sentiment.

Which Wyatts/Shield match should I watch? I think I've seen it but I can't remember a thing about it.

Elimination Chamber last year was the best iteration but they face each other 3 times (maybe 4) and it was spectacular each time.

I rewatched Sasha/Bayley. It went down for me. That first ten minutes is just not good, at all. The crowd was awful and it was awful because they were too quiet for the actual wrestling. I understand wanting to see an epic unfold before you but damn, cheer. I'm settling on 4* for this match. I haven't rewatched their first encounter, that'll be up the next time I need to kill some time.

Storm's debut wasn't bad but was still pretty lackluster. They put him over pretty well although I laughed at "Debuted in WCW and then spent 15 years on the independent circuit".

I feel like HHH could throw any semi name wrestler out there, have them fart in the ring and the NXT crowd would still lap it up.

Much better episode than last week, but LOL at the booking of the main event. (I have no problem with Corbin winning, but kicking out of the gore and then reversing a second gore attempt into end of days was awful)

Full Sail is getting worse. That tag match was really hard to watch.

I lost it when they announced that Australian wrestler as "Shazza". It's the most common trope name for Australia's version of trailer trash.

Agreed. They really need to understand the difference between a hot crowd and an obnoxious one. I'm not holding my breath that they comprehend this anytime soon.

Also, what the **** are they doing with Tyler Breeze? Has anyone ever had a more "jobber to the stars" year than Tyler Breeze's last 12 months?

Despite the crowd though, that tag match was awesome. Jordan/Gable are going to be mega-stars.

In my eyes, Emma is the #2 contender behind Alexa Bliss. She really cranked on that finisher and had a solid match.

Nia Jax is dressed worse than Max Moon.

The Emma/Dana Brooke duo grows on me more and more each week.

Dana Brooke has improved a ton since that awful debut 6 months ago.

In Eva Marie's match, they don't even bother telling us the name of her opponent.

Cameron actually did pretty well that match. I was surprised.

Eva Marie was still awful.

Having watched the Dana Brooke and Cameron matches, I'm convinced Asuka could get a great match out of my lazy non-wrestler ass without even having to think about it.

Put her in there with Eva Marie and let's find out.

I'm digging how Asuka seems to be on the show every week.
