I loved that. It wasn't the time for an NXT-style kickout-heavy epic and it put Kross over huge. I think Ciampa can recover.

I wondered what they were doing by putting Ciampa and Cross together so soon. Knew Cross couldn't lose, but that's 3 big losses in a row for Ciampa for the title, then Gargano and now being dominated here.

I wonder if his talk about retiring if he was called up to the main roster because his neck couldn't handle the schedule caused Vince to demand HHH pull back the dial on him.

Don't follow this nearly as closely as I used to, but the luchador kidnapping angle was one of the best ones they've done in the past year.

NXT was really good this week even if the booking seemed a bit odd.

The luchador unmasking plot was fun, although I had no idea who these guys were even after they made such a big deal of revealing themselves.

Wonder why they set up face/face and heel/heel feuds for the title instead of having Balor go after Cole and Kross go after Lee.

Balor was heel for like a week. He turned on Gargano, but that was the only heel he ever faced and Gargano turned heel immediately after their match, while Balor has been feuding with and facing heels in every match since.

It was kinda like the Becky turn.

Honestly, I don't know if I hate it as much as I'm supposed to. It's something different I guess and McAfee's plays a decent dick, even when he's playing a face.

What I don't understand is why Beth Pheonix was so insulted that McAfee was making fun of the heel group that she stormed off set.

Surprised they took the belt off Keith Lee that soon, but I guess if you're going to push a guy as hard and fast as Cross, it's probably not to lose in a spot like this.

Cole/McAfee had no business being that good.

Can't really think of anything I have interest in tonight. Maybe O'Reilly/Balor, though it feels too soon to flip the NXT belt again and I'm not even sure who they're pushing as the face here. Seems to be O'Reilly.

The matches were fine, but no real investable storylines. Didn't really care much about the outcomes. I suppose they can go with - Fin had Cole taken out and turn him back heel.

Yeah, really good matches, wish the stories were better. Especially liked the main event, which felt like it had a lot more selling and psychology than most NXT title matches.

Adding Toni and Ember to the women's division is also nice to see.

Kind of a hot take, but Mauro's routine had worn thin for me and I'm enjoying Vic Joseph in the booth (I think Vic is the best of the Michael Cole bots in WWE by a good margin).
