I think they've got the Enzo sing-a-long about right now. It did get a bit lengthy but certainly on this week's show, he seemed to have cut a line or two out (mostly Carmella stuff) and sped up the delivery a bit, so there was still a bit of time for some match-specific mic work (the best bit imo) without the whole thing feeling like it took half of the show.

There is a bit of a gap in the WWE market for pre-match sing-a-longs, so I'd be happy for Enzo's shtick to continue to catch on.

Enzo is the type of guy that I really didn't think I'd like but he looks so ridiculous that I can't help but enjoy his whole gimmick. The sing a long will get old quick if it catches on once he hits the main roster. Vince it will run it into the ground.

Owens hurt a knee and will be out a yet to be determined amount of time

Which kinda suck, but I think there's some benefit in having a longer waiting period between Owens/Balor or Owens/Sami.

It's not a major injury and he's prob be out for like a month tops.

Nxt tapes their weekly show four at a time so depending on where they are in the schedule it won't even be a month of kayfabe time

Yeah, I also gather that this won't be a huge deal. Sounds like he's very likely back by the next PPV/special event.

I turn on NXT. It starts with like ten ****ing minutes of sing-along.

NXT is so damn good and so over they basically can't have heels.

As much as LKJ hated the sing-a-long I loved it 8 times more. Audible sobbing.

Tyler did so well working the crowd and it was really nice to see Kalisto shake that Sin Cara dust off of him and work a good clean minimally botchy/interesting match.

I don't really know if the decision to have Carmella come out with Enzo was done knowing she'd get boo-ed (which they should have known) and this is part of an angle, or just NXT doing what it occasionally does and being slightly slow to adapt to crowd response. As I noted last night- I loved the enthusiasm the crowd had for their entrance so much. I cannot wait for the opportunity to see that in person and sing along at the top of my lungs.

The match itself was OK. Cass isn't very engaging when he's not using Enzo as an object, but it wasn't really bad.

Sasha Banks is basically too good at being a heel to be a heel in front of an excited, smarky audience. I'm really liking what Alexa Bliss is doing, but she had no chance to get a good reaction here. The standing moonsault spot either doesn't work, or I don't get it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Owens hurt his knee on that weird pin attempt by Riley. I enjoyed that they didn't try and make Riley seem too credible. He was mostly cannon fodder, (although I'm not sure if that was a work or shoot injury he was selling, because as a work it didn't really make sense) and that's what he should be. Owens is amazing.

I love Finn Balor's music. (Sasha's too).

Owens match was booked perfectly. Riley got in some lucky, desperate offense in incredibly short bursts and that was it. Perfect.

Hate to admit it but I absolutely love Enzo and cass. I'm not sure how much staying power they have as a team but I really hope they do because neither guy strikes me as someone who can make it work on their own.

I can see solo Enzo as a Santino/Mizdow kinda comedy guy. Cass not so much.

Enzo could work as a manager too if they still had those.

For some reason, Alexa strikes me as someone who could play a great manipulative, bitchy, evil heel type at some point.

Still love Sasha. She could trash talk me all night. And if you have to have the champ lose to further the story, that's how you do it I guess.

Riley....where do they really go with him from here? Is he just another guy in NXT after all that now?

Cass will be huge if they can create any depth to his character . He reminds me a lot of Edge in the beginning stages of the rated - r superstar stage. The biggest thing to come out of NXT for the future as "THE" guy is Finn Balor. He just does everything right and will be over equally with the kids as well as the adults with the "big match" demon gimmick.

Yup. The Owens promo, Bayley and Emma- all great. Sasha/Bliss was a little sloppy- but I loved it and the main event was fantastic.

Great episode.

Matches/promos/backstage stuff....everything was highly entertaining and served a purpose.

Supposedly they tape 4 episodes in a row so the crowd was exhausted for this (4th) one. Unless the writers came out before the show and whispered "Be quiet, or Vince will hear you and start changing things"

Itami really needs a Bill Alfonso to his RVD. Or maybe even an Enzo Amore. I mean I don't want them to reduce him to comedy, but I'd probably laugh a lot if they put Itami with Enzo and he taught him to talk like him with Itami thinking he's just learning normal
English.

I was a little disappointed in the Owens/Balour match. Maybe expected too much.
1 - Seemed like a lot of headlocks and rest holds by Owens
2 - Owens won the title by viciously exploiting an injury to his opponent. He won his 1st title defense by exploiting an injury to his opponent. I get it keeps the guys that lost strong and that's good, but they're gonna have to change it up soon.

Honestly, this is a pretty decent idea.

Itami is never getting over as a main eventer on the main roster. He's talented for sure, but he's just too small.

"Reducing him to comedy" might be his WWE ceiling.

Divas match was kinda sloppy but not terrible. I don't find Sasha very attractive, something weird about her face can't put my finger on it.

Bayley (another diva I don't find attractive whatsoever) and emma skit was very very good. Really liking what they are doing with Emma's character.

Itami breeze thing should be fun but I'm kind of over it. Itamis English is awful, just slap a mask on this guy, give him a manager and call it a day.

Owens vs balor wasn't very good imo but like someone else said it might be because I was expecting too much. I think Owens is an A+++ character and has been amazing at storytelling and on the mic and all that but as far as I'm concerned all his matches in nxt so far have been unspectacular (esp for him)

Owens may have been holding back because of the leg injury which has been bothering him since his debut. If not, and they are just going to have him work that style in WWE, that sucks.

No ****. He's a heel. You're not supposed to like it. (and it's especially important for Owens as he's a heel who is still pretty over with the crowd). He's making a mistake if he's doing stuff that's getting a lot of pops.

Owens is putting on a clinic in classic heel stuff and people are getting wooooorrkkkkked.

Dids I don't think heels are expected to generate heat by having ****ty movesets that are boring for fans to watch. That's not how it works.

You're honestly trying to argue that heels don't use rest holds to draw heat?
