I liked the thank you to Cornette, though I'm probably too cynical to describe it as "classy" because it felt like it was driven in significant part by a desire to mitigate the anger of the NWA fans who are offended that Cornette got pushed out.

I still don't have a great feel for the face/heel dynamic of Storm vs. Aldis. Is this just supposed to be tweener vs. tweener? It's hard for me to imagine the crowd being behind James Storm. This also leaves me not even knowing what a Tim Storm heel turn would look like if that was the route they wanted to go.

I was confused all season because I thought the Rock n Roll Express were the champs, then I discovered they weren't, but then they became champs at the very end.

Alright, I ordered the damn PPV while the early-bird price was still on, though I'm dubious about it outside of the main event. Wish we were getting a singles match for the women's title instead of this tag match.

National Championship three-way is just a damn mess since there's not one serious wrestling character in the group, and I hardly want to see the company's secondary title be a comedy prop.

The long-form Aldis/Storm interview offered on the 10 Pounds of Gold special they released tonight was strong (part of it had aired on last week's show). Aldis is so, so good on the stick. I'm looking forward to this Saturday's main event more now.

Enjoyed the Aldis/Storm face-to-face they dropped tonight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-t_FZvcIs8

Hope they're not given any consideration to putting Storm over on Saturday. Aldis has to be the one to remain as face of the company until someone comes close to his level. Storm is doing his part to make this thing seem credible, but it would be a mistake to let him go over.

Jim Cornette confirms that this was indeed a pre-planned Thanksgiving week thing.

So I gather I'm probably alone here in watching the PPV live tonight? It starts in about an hour.

Most of my interest is in the main event, but I also look forward to seeing what kind of a fit Stu Bennett is on commentary, and I'm looking forward to the women's tag match as well. Most of the card is relatively unpredictable, as the only slam dunks are Eli Drake beating Ken Anderson and Thunder Rosa beating this new woman making her debut (a match that got added on social media since the last Powerrr).

It's not the strongest card, but they've been providing good enough weekly entertainment that I wanted to support the company by buying. Hopefully it will be a solid show.

I bought it. Anderson's huge gut aside, this match has been a good start.

Yeah, I wasn't really interested in the match going in, but that was solid. Anderson's schoolboy false finish sort of got me even though I fully assumed that Drake going over was a gimme. Anderson looks worse and worse all the time, but he didn't weigh the match down.

Doesn't seem like NWA crowds are ever going to accept Thunder Rosa as a heel. Feels right away like a matter of time before she turns against Melina.

That false finish got me too. I was confident Drake was going over as well but also know people seem to love Anderson so wasn't 100%. Good opener.

I'm enjoying Bennett on commentary as well.

Also doesn't help that this new girl's first promo was pretty obnoxious. But yeah crowd loves Rosa.

Well, Rosa did manage to at least get a bit of heel heat out of that beatdown just now. She's awesome. That was a very entertaining showcase.

Yeah another great segment. Match and pre-match was great. She got heat but then they went straight back to cheering her. Think you're right and they'll have no choice but to turn her.

Don't have much hope for the triple threat or tag title match so hopefully they'll surprise me.

Stevens is the only one I like in this match, but I'm not really into the thought of him holding a belt given that he's been booked as a joke with no credibility so far. Cabana winning is probably best.

Oh, no triple threat yet. Murdoch vs. Question Mark I'm hopeful for.

I really like this. Both these guys are so much more entertaining than they should be. Question Mark yelling "KARATE" is such a cheap joke but it gets me almost every time.

I'm surprised that Murdoch ended up doing a clean job there. Didn't lose much credibility though. Show is delivering above expectations so far.

Meh. Rock 'n Roll is so over that the crowd does lift their matches up and make them more enjoyable, but thumbs down to the result and to the broadcast missing the finishing spot.

I mean it wasn't terrible but I just don't want to see guys in their 60s as champions.

PPV again in five weeks? If that becomes the frequency then I certainly won't just automatically drop $20 each time. Figured a quarterly model would be more likely.

I had the same thoughts. I thought PPVs would be spread out a lot more. Would be a bit worried about sustainability at that rate.

ODB is a really cool person in real life but I hate her gimmick like nothing else.

I've seen a little bit of ODB from TNA, but don't really know how good she is or was in the ring. Her character isn't my thing.

Absolute mess of a match. First one of the night that I pretty much hated.
