Im not hating onit, and I didnt think it was a bad match. It was a bit long and Ambrose had shoddy selling to say the least, but it was a decent match

Exactly this. Ambrose shrugging off that whole sequence that quickly is worse than almost any magical no-selling we see from Cena.

Anyway, Cena-Owens was excellent, rest of the show can be skipped without issue, for anyone who hasn't watched yet and wanted cliffs on quality.

I would also add that finishes aside, the MITB match and the Divas match were also good. The only one I would say is a definite skip would be Ryback/Big Show

I thought the MITB match was very generic, personally. I remember really enjoying one spot, and now I can't remember what it was, but aside from that I was shrugging. Part of that is probably owing to a lack of investment in who won the match. While I don't approve of the result, even the best result available wasn't going to really excite me.

Same deal with Paige and Nikki; I did think that was above the standard of what the divas usually do, but they build divas matches so badly that I only semi-watched it the way I semi-watch Raw matches (most of the time on Monday night I have the TV tuned to USA but only sporadically actually look at my TV).

In general, the quality of build to a match has a significant influence for me (and I think most viewers) in the overall watchability of a match. Unfortunately the current creative team mails in almost every build they ever do these days, and almost the only time we get legitimate builds they are thanks in large part to the talent rising above what's written for them.

Ohhhh ok. Yeah the selling job was lol (I hate that pop up clothesline on a random note and glad to see I'm not the only one) and the finish was silly with both having it, but man I've been waiting for that general approach to an evolution of a cowardly heel champion for ages. Just glad they went ahead and did that instead of their typical "ok the first time he doesn't have help he loses which helps to invalidate his entire run and leaves him with no real credibility moving forward" thing.

Sheamus really won MITB huh?

The lolz are real

Also PTP really?

Not only that, but PTP won on a transitional move as JBL did the "NEW CHAMPIONS!" thing during the count that usually always means a kickout is coming. That **** was truly weird.

They're on the third level.

Sheamus winning means the MitB winner is losing this time, right? RIGHT?????

I can't believe I watched this garbage and the Game of Thrones finale on the same night. Great TV over the last decade has really forced me to expect more out of wrestling writers than they're capable of giving me. I don't know whether that's my fault for setting too high an expectation level or theirs for showing no desire to evolve with the times. And yeah, I know, when I say "theirs", I know I'm really just talking about one 70 year old guy.

We can only hope.

I might be the only one happy PTP won.

So Sheamus is involved in another main storyline? The one storyline they usually do well, the briefcase? When are they going to give up on this guy as a main eventer? He's so generic. Completely alright guy to have on the midcard, but Vince loves the vanilla giants.

He is H's buddy, so that probably helps too.

PTP have been pretty awesome the last little while. Titus crushed it at the EC, for example. I kind of like the idea of giving them a shot.

Seamus is the only guy on the current roster I feel X-Pac heat towards. Whenever he's cutting a promo I feel embarrassed to be a wrestling fan.

They're fine, but weren't nearly as over as New Day. If you want to give them a shot then start them chasing after the belts by getting screwed or whatever, and start building some support for them. Hotshotting them to the titles like that is just another result to make the tag belts (and the tag division as a whole) seem meaningless.

Ryback vs miz vs big show commentating on each other's matches on raw and smack down and causing distraction rollups is going to be horrible

Reigns vs bray can't possibly think of a way this can be entertaining in the slightest

Sheamus teasing cashing

Gonna be a brutal few weeks of raw

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Roman vs. Bray happen like 2 weeks ago?

And Bray still lost despite the fact that Roman had fought both Wade Barrett and Mark Henry earlier in the night.

That wasn't a "THIS TIME IT REALLY COUNTS" match. Kindly disregard.

I really hate Sheamus winning MITB, but this does make a match against Lesnar much more likely which would be awesome.

Lesnar vs. anyone who is remotely capable in the ring and will take decent bumps is reasonably likely to be awesome, so I agree...but there are enough wrestlers in that category that I'd sure rather have the spot across from Brock be occupied by someone else.

Also Ambrose cut a great promo after MITB that reminded me of Dusty's "Hard Times" promo. I have no idea why this wasn't on tv:

the more i think about it the more i'm ok with sheamus winning MITB

this was a really really bad year to have someone having that since the storylines for the next year require the belt to be on one of rollins or bork. having an upstart win, cash in and fail would only serve to hurt them (see: sandow, damien). might as well give it to someone like sheamus or orton or even kane where wgaf if they cash in and fail
