Good luck to Punk but man, he's no Brock Lesnar. Brock's athletic as **** and a freak of nature. I think it's even sad that he's not main eventing. He's got to be bummed about that. "But that PART TIMER, Brock Lesnar got to main event ". Don't they know how great he is!?!?!

I want him to win because I don't have any reason to care about Mickey Gall and I have a bunch of respect for him for actually following through but I watched the documentary and he just seems like such a douche. He's followed up that douchery in recent interviews. Hard to root for CM Punk the person instead of the character.

lol no but the documentary really made it clear. It's not really a great way to introduce non fans to him.

im rooting for him. im never going to be mad at someone for standing up for themselves, saying they're being treated like ****, and walking away from a lot of money because enough was enough. There were a lot of people that were agreeing with him about a lot of that at the time, and those stories about the medical issues where it was evident the company didn't give a **** about his health was awful. I'm also never going to be mad at someone for saying they want to do something and working towards that goal even if it takes a couple years to get there.

Sure, he's probably going to get his ass kicked. But damn, the dude decided he wanted to have a ucf fight, trained towards it for a while, and is going to actually achieve that. That's sweet.

I actually thought the series humanized him and made him look like less of an ******* than I previously imagined him being. I just didn't think humility was something that he was capable of showing.

How is everyone expecting this PPV to draw? I know he's not the main event, but I still think it's going to do a ton of buys with his crossover appeal.

This PPV would probably draw pretty low numbers without Punk. Might not draw a great number but Punk is moving the needle because some want to see him win and some want to see him lose.

Gall hasn't fought the greatest opponents but he's still been a beast and finished every fight. All we've seen of Punk is training sessions where he appears to look uncoordinated and sloppy. He also has zero experience in any kind of competition.

Punk not being the main event and being a massive underdog seems pretty telling
