Lots of face winners. Punk multiple times, Bryan, Cena, RVD, Mr. Kennedy, probably others.
They do have this weird way of telegraphing "yep this is the end" when they show an actual wide shot of the guy climbing the ladder and nobody is around.
Were Punk and Kennedy faces? They were smark favorites for sure, but were they actually faces?

Yeah, at least both Punk wins for sure. First time he cashed in on heel Edge and had a lame face run with the title. Second time he won as a face and then turned heel after cashing in on Hardy.
The briefcase is such a useful heel prop that I easily predicted the endings to both ladder matches which is kind of unfortunate. I don't really blame them for doing the obvious though.
It's interesting how hard WWE is going (esp on Smackdown) with just active trolling of smarks. Both MITB endings were booked to make people mad not just at the wrestlers, but at the people who wrote the script.
The match itself was awesome though. Zayn with a couple of awesome spots, Owens took an absolute beating, and there were a few great stories within the match. Unfortunately the result was the worst possible result, bc Corbin sucks. Luckily it's not a #1 contender, so it's not like they're pigeonholed into Corbin v Jinder or Corbin v Jinder v Nakamura, they can pick their spot carefully as to when to have Corbin cash in.
Every one is dying to have Nakamura or AJ strapped, it seems pretty simple to have one of them go over Jinder and then Corbin strap in immediately after and beat the living **** out of the champ and steal the title. That should bring him some heat and lay the groundwork for an effective feud with one of them.

I feel like Cena is going to beat Jinder for the title at SS, and afterwards Corbin cashes in. Then we get a WOAT Cena/Corbin feud.
You're probably right and I'm not so down on that. I think Cena is great/underrated and, more importantly, he'll likely just bury Corbin so we can do away with him.
Missed most of the PPV except the title match, the Breezango match, and the main event (Perhaps I skipped all the bad parts?)
Wasn't nearly as disappointed as the rest of you. Good crowd. The Orton/Jinder match had nearly the same finish as the last PPV, but it was still well done. The main event was good and I was surprised at how hot the crowd was for Nakamura. People keep saying they are ruining Nakamura, but no one has seemed to tell the audience that. Winner was kind of obvious, so I wasn't really disappointed with that.
Yeah Corbin winning is boring and he's boring but the best part of the PPV for me was that apparently Mike Bennet will be known as Mike Kannelis. I've been making that "joke" for like 3 years now.
I realize the spot with Orton vs. Jinder's minions was to shine a light/entertain the Hall of Fame attendees/other VIPs... but I was also wondering why isn't the ref counting to 10?... that was scripted poorly to completely ignore a standard rule in a one fall match.

That zayn/ziggler powerbomb off the ladder was ****ing insane. Not sure how there isn't more talk about that. Also extremely close to the ropes and I thought Ziegler was going to snap his neck. Wow
Overall I think the show was decent but didn't really feel like a PPV quality card.
The women MITB had some decent spots and storytelling. In the past I've found the women have an extremely difficult time adjusting to non-singles matches (they always seem to be cluster****s) but was pleasantly surprised here. The ending was obviously pretty bad and it helps absolutely none of them get over (not even Carmella as a heel) and probably makes a few of them look even worse. This is on the writers not the women obviously
Tag title match was fine and certainly above average, nothing really noteworthy here though. It's a fine spot to use a non finish I suppose.
Lana vs Naomi was flat out bad. Naomi is bad in the ring and atrocious on the mic, she really needs to move down the card.
Jinder Orton was fine in a vacuum but loses a couple points due to it being a repeat of the last match. Overall I think they are doing a good job with Jinder and Orton is quietly doing a good job getting him over imo.
Men's MITB was very very good and I can comfortable say I think everyone in that match came out looking stronger than ever
I think Naomi is pretty decent in the ring, but having her as champion is not a good thing when she is, at best, a distant third in popularity just among the SD babyface women.
Forgot to mention: not sure how long new backstage announcer interviewer lady has been around but she was awful. Legit lol'd when she was interviewing Lana and said "do you realize Naomi is heavily ... ranked #1!??" Seemed like she wasn't allowed to say "favored" or something ?

I am watching MiTB now since I was working last night and have somehow managed to be spoiler free. The women's match just finished, and what a disappointment. That just felt like the most formulaic match I have ever watched with the worst ending to a ladder match ever. **** like that is making me not enjoy watching the product anymore. I will go and look at the comments to see if my opinion is shared or not
