Lesnar had a great amateur wrestling background before WWE, he didn't learn how to react to real punches even with a granite chin through WWE though. Ken Shamrock well Ken gonna Ken. Kurt Angle wrestled he didn't fight, so he faces the same stigma Lesnar has created. Did you see how small Batista got when he decided to try MMA? Lashley didn't go anywhere either.

A guy like Cena is where the question really fits, he is an athlete but could he hold his own with little background in combat sports? It's sorta what DannyOcean was getting at.

Is this thread a troll thread? As being a strong MMA fan and Pro Wrestling fan, I realize this question is a joke.

If anyone that has a chance in MMA was maybe Kurt Angle 10 years ago just off of pure wrestling alone, and even then he would need a TON of work in jiu jitsu and stand up.

so essentially guida pretty much just has to stay on the offensive from word go and hope that he can knock cena out before cena can lay waste to him. the problem with trying to keep cena down tho is that he never gives up, so guida would basically have to kill him to win.

Guida hasn't knocked out anyone in his own division, so I doubt we'll see him KO Cena. There's over 70 pounds difference and 18 cm in length advantage for Cena, coupled with the fact that Cena is a athletic person, all he would do is just grab a hold of Guida and GnP and he doesn't need any combat experience to do that...

There are three factors that have not been accounted for by the WWE fans.

1. The UFC has no ramp. Where are your custom entrances now playboy?
2. Cena would not cope well mentally with the hat thieves on his walk in.
3. Guida would never make it to the cage, they would send in Brian Stann, a guy who would not appreciate the over the top Marine schtick.
