That question distorts what he would be now as a heel. You're talking about time before he got by far the biggest push of his career, with multiple wins over Cena.

Yeah, Punk pre-shoot just plain isnt Punk post-shoot in the WWE. Its not really worth remembering outside of how good he was at manipulating the crowd to generate volcanic heat.

They would push him extremely hard as a heel in the run up too so he will be extremely hot and it would be realistic that he could beat Austin. Mostly cos the smarks will realise that Austin is gonna put him over ~95% of the time and the marks will be marks and buy into it regardless. He will be presented as a realistic and credible threatand having like the 15th longest WWF/E title reign of all time and has beaten Austin's longest reign record helps set this up.

But ROH as a whole is bottoming out. I'm not sure why it is, but it feels flat. They are trying too hard to be what the are not.

Add to that the money problems, or illusion of problems, and it's a scary time.

That said, I did just buy tickets for Supercard of Honor next wrestlemania weekend.
cliffs of ROH still:
"How did he kick out of that?!?"

I have no idea Kevin Kelly... I have no idea.

They are definitely bottoming out. You stop caring about the belts even though they "do title reigns better" than WWE because you know it will be an 18 month build until the belt is even truly on the line.

ROH needs a cage of death PPV with like 6 on 6 elimination whatever hellmatch. But Cornette hates that stuff I guess. And I have been watching too much CZWaMania.

if you haven't seen the ROH vs CZW cage of death match, do yourself a favor and find it (i can upload it on YT if anybody wants but it's a pain). everybody should see it. even not knowing anything besides it's two rival companies facing each other (which is how i first saw it) it is an intense match.

John Cena is realy getting fisted the past few years man....with this whole Rock feud was BS b.c Cena busts his balls day in and day out and then the Rock decides he wants to come back ( and make a MAJOR payday) so theres no way The Rock will comeback and lose so Cena go screwed that whole year....and now he was the first to win the MITB match and cash in the briefcase and lose it....that was just stupid how it ended in a DQ....They should of had the belt change hands on Raw 1000 would of been an epic moment.....maybe had The Rock, give CM Punk a Rock Bottom and help Cena win the Title which would begin the CM Punk/Rock or ("DWAYNE") as CM would say feud.....lol

Lol.

Damien Sandow is aghast at that idea.

I'm ok with that idea even though it makes no sense. They should've had somebody look great in defeat (Tensai or that nobody everybody jokes about getting a push) instead of having Cena in a throwaway match lost on an overbooked mess like they did.

Last edited by .isolated; 07-31-2012 at 10:59 PM. Reason: Tensai is a joke for those taking things at face value
