I really think the CM punk angle this past summer started off great than really went downhill with the dual championships, Triple H and Nash. It was almost is if they were trying to sabotage the angle. It was NOT good for business for them to get involved. I didn't mind McMahon getting involved, and I think he played his role well. But Triple H ruined the angle, and who knows maybe years down the line we'll talk about that time as the reason the wrestling business never boomed again.

Yeah I didn't really have a problem with the whole Nash,HHH, and Johnny Ace getting involved. I kept telling myself that they have something planned out, HHH was going to turn heel and he was working with Johnny Ace and Nash the whole time. Then when it turned out Nash sent the text to himself for some reason (I still have no idea why he would send a text to himself) and HHH still fought Punk at the PPV and of course put himself over was when I gave up on the angle. I understand them not being able to keep Punk off tv because SS was only a few weeks away and they couldn't realistically not have him on the PPV, but man did they botch everything.

I liked the idea of Punk returning quickly. I thought it would be stupid for WWE to keep him off tv for more than a week. But damn did they really botch that crap.

This is pretty much how I felt when Orton returned from injury last time around and fueded with the McMahons and HHH. When he first came back I was interested in Orton for the first time ever and his anti-establishment, unhinged character was a refreshing change, he seemed like a proper bad ass in the mold of Austin.

Then they had him become a cowardly heel who gets outboxed by Shane O'Mac before ultimately being destroyed by HHH. I believe the way his new character started off, not unlike Punk, showed a lot of potential and he could have legitimately been on Cena's level had they not F'd it up and made him like every other heel on the roster. Following Taker/HBK at WM25 was never going to be easy but perhaps everyone wouldn't have crapped on the HHH/Orton match if they hadn't already neutered Orton's new character and taken all of the intrigue out of the end result.

David Arquette, Karl Malone, Judy Bagwell, Dennis Rodman, Kiss, Chucky, Robocop, Steve McMichael, Kevin Greene, and many others shouldn't have existed in WCW.

Goldberg certainly isn't the greatest guy to watch, but to say he shouldn't have been pushed is ridiculous. The guy drew more money than anyone in WCW at the time easily.

The one story I would love to re-write is the last 6 months of 1987 concerning the NWA and UWF. Jim Crockett promotions really dropped the ball with the purchase of the UWF from the word go. I have no problem One man Gang dropping the belt but it should have been to Steve Williams right away instead of Big Bubba. Have Williams defend against the Freebirds,Eddie Gilbert and Dick Murdoch until Sept. when he loses it to Ted Dibiase. You build Dibiase up as the UWF champion on par with the NWA heavyweight Champion with wins over Blanchard,Anderson to piss off the Horseman and Flair. At the same time give the tag team belts to the Fantastics with them beating all the tag teams except Blanchard/Anderson and the Road Warriors. Keep the same set up with Terry Taylor and the T.V. title with Nikita Koloff.

Have the Freebirds cost the Road Warriors a match for the tag team titles and have Gordy piledrive Animal on the concrete floor. Keep Animal off T.V. for a month.

DO NOT MOVE STARRCADE FROM GREENSBORO OR ATLANTA! Showing a sold out 17,000 seat arena and a 15,000 seat arena beats a 10,000 seat college arena any day. here would be my lineups:

Atlanta:

-Title v.s. Title (No DQ, No Time Limit. Must be a winner)
Ric Flair vs Ted DiBiase for Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship

Title v.s. Title (must be a winner, no time limit,no DQ)
Blanchard/Anderson v.s. Fantastics for the Undisputed World Tag Team Titles

-Title v.s Title (Must be a winner)
Nikita Koloff v.s. Terry Taylor for Undisputed T.V. Title

-The Sheepherders v.s. The Lightning Express

Western States Heritage title
Barry Windham v.s. Steve Williams

Greensboro:
-U.S. Heavyweight Title Match (Career v.s. Title Steel Cage Match)
Lex Luger v.s. Dusty Rhodes

-Chicago Street Fight Loser Leave Town Tag Team Match
The Road Warriors v.s. The Freebirds

-U.S. Tag Team title match (Texas Tornado match)
Midnight Express v.s. Rock and Roll Express

-Sting v.s. Rick Steiner

Jimmy Garvin/Ron Garvin v.s. Ivan Koloff/Dick Murdoch

After thinking about it for a while, I have this:

Booker T to go over HHH at WM19.

I mean go watch the promo, and then watch the match/hear the commentary about it. It was a good angle to get Booker T a good reaction when winning and then mr haitches is just like "lol no". I know a lot of the stuff like Invasion angle is more memorable, but that was partly out of their control. This was just terrible.

Bro.

Anything to do with wrestling on the year I was born or before doesn't count. I've been watching wrestling since I was 4, ad Big Bubba is nothing more than a gimmick midcarder and Steve Williams was the guy that that went along with Oklahomo. You know the guy that decided it was cool to make fun of Jim Ross.

To say Bubba and Williams were nothing is a terrible statement. Williams got a paycheck and nothing more. Jim Ross had no I'll will toward his good friend. Big Bubba was far bigger than a gimmick mid card. In one chairshot Rhodes got the guy over and he helped headline several matches with Rhodes along the way.

lol of course this has something to do with Dusty. also no one remembers any of this and he was absolutely a gimmick. he is known primarily as Big Boss Man and "that guy Undertaker hanged."
