We had to sit through a boring 30+ match just so that Shane could do the exact same spot we'd already seen him do?

Still, I guess it's better than if he tried to outdo it.

if Shane doesn't do the full Bugs Bunny dive into a glass of water in his next match, I don't ever want to see him again, and that's from someone that has greatly enjoyed his work in the past

Sami aligning himself with KO makes so little sense that I'd guess it's not as simple as "Sami is a heel." Guess we'll have to tune into Smackdown to find out. Or check their youtube channel on Wednesday morning to find the highlights. Or surf this forum to see what people say about it.

Just checked Wikipedia. Shane/KO was a 39 minute match!

Wonder when their last match was that was longer?

EDIT: I meant singles match. Obviously, matches like Survivor Series and Royal Rumble were longer.

Only WWE singles matches that are longer (off the top of my head):

* No Way Out 2001: HHH vs Austin: 39:26
* Bad Blood 2004: HHH vs HBK: 47:26
* WM 12: HBK vs Bret: 61:52

EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised if Backlund did a few 60 minute draws. IIRC, he did at least one with Harley Race.

Also forgot about Judgment Day 2000: HHH vs Rock: 60 minute iron man

I suppose the cowardly heel who cheats to win route is understandable considering he was previously a legit full on jobber, but it's really boring to see the same stuff over and over with him.
Jinder (basically) won clean over Shinsuke last night. The Singh brothers were banned from ringside a good few minutes before Jinder hit his Khallas.

Your point is still pretty valid overall, but if Jinder was going to retain once again I think they did it right this way and he actually came out looking fairly strong imo.

I could have bought Sami "saving" Kevin from being killed, but they should have left it at that without him making sure KO got the pin. They've completely botched his character outside of NXT except for that short run with Foley and Stroman anyway. Come to think of it, Smackdown has botched everyone over the last six months or so. Nobody cares about Jinder as champion, Charlotte was randomly turned, the most important matches seem to be with the nearly 50 year old GM. I actually like Bobby Roode as a face, but not within the Glorious character. Fire ALLLLLLLL the writers!!!

If you're counting Iron Man matches, Brock/Angle did one on Smackdown and Benoit/HHH on Raw in the early 2000s.

HBK and Cena had a really long one fall match on Raw one time.

Most recent would have to be the Sami Zayn/Samoa Joe 2-out-of-3 falls match last year that took up the entirety of an NXT episode.

I'm not totally disagreeing, but it was a lot shorter than a few minutes before he hit his finisher. Without going back and timing it, I would think it was less than two minutes before hitting it

It honestly didn't feel that long to me. I kind of enjoyed the match. This isn't saying much but I do think it was match of the night.

Ironically, the last match that I can find that went over 30 minutes in the 'E is Shane vs. Take @ WM 32 @ 30:15.

Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon was a blockbuster but I wanted Shane to win this one.
