enjoyed this PPV alot. every match was pretty good and interesting except Bray-Rollins and Miz-Ambrose

I thought Wyatt-Rollins was fine. Miz-Ambrose was bad even for an Ambrose match.

Didn't even know Miz had Bo and Axel with him now. Is it just me that thinks this is really bad for miz? Him and Marcuse have done tremendous at getting over by themselves now they are getting saddled with these two clowns? Why?? Doesn't make any sense

From Bo's facial hair, maybe he's joining his brother's family and they're killing time until the beard gets longer.

I'm glad that Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar is a thing that has happened in history and that Joe came off looking pretty strong but I'm still a little underwhelmed by the match. Not a fan of the finish, I think Brock could have done some more damage before getting the pin.

Seeing a lot "One F-5!!" comments in other places where people are complaining. Really says a lot about the current state of finishers with today's audience. I'm sure most here will agree that ending the match with one F-5 wasn't the problem and that a lack of build to the pin was. If they were going for the "MMA feel" then I don't know why, it's wrestling.

Proposal:

Brock vs Joe is, at this point in their careers, just another case of WWE using two part timers with nostalgia on their side to attempt to shore up their main event scene, and will end as well as the other ones have the last few years.

(And that was actually a cross post, though very much an on topic one apparently)

Joe's not a part-timer.

Fun show and a hot crowd. Definitely was a lot of WTF when they brought out Slater and Hawkins. At that point it is already after 9:30 and no one cares about this non-built match. Obviously it was there to allow the extrication of Strowman to happen during something no one cared about, but it deflated the crowd some.

It also made people assume Joe-Lesnar was going to be a nothing match when they are hitting the ring at 9:50. Would have been much better to just go to Joe-Lesnar right after Reigns-Strowman, then cut to the rescue scene and end the PPV with Strowman staggering out.

Ended up not on the floor, got semi-caught in a ticket scam but guy knew he had ****ed up and gave us good seats in row H in the lower level which is basically as good as row H on the floor as far as seeing.

That kind of remains to be seen. I'll be content to be proven wrong, I guess, though I think his best days are far far behind him.

Was Joe more over than Lesnar live? Seemed that way on the show.

Without a doubt. His speed was freaky impressive back in the day. I still think he has a lot of solid work left in him though and that if you want to fault anyone for the mediocre match it would be Lesnar going through his routine and nothing much else. I don't think there's any reason to think Joe is a part timer though.

I don't know that Joe was more over, but he was definitely being rooted for more than Lesnar. During Hawkins-Slater, there was a good "We Want Lesnar" chant, but when they finished the video package there was a big "Joe Joe Joe Joe" chant and solid "Joe is gonna kill you" during intros and solid "tap tap tap tap" when Lesnar was locked in the clutch.

Caught up with a lot of the seemingly important matches from the PPV.

Enzo was great. Ambulance match was a lot of fun. Women's match was damn good.

Brock/Joe was great until the end, which was ****ing terrible. Not because of the "just one F-5????" (though that does make Joe look weaker by comparison to other people who have needed more, which is the whole problem with normalizing finisher kickouts), but the lead up to the F-5. What the **** was that? Joe has the choke in for the better part of a minute, then Brock breaks out and puts Joe on his shoulders. Shouldn't Joe be trying to, you know, GET OUT OF THAT POSITION? He just laid there like a goddamn sack of potatoes. So stupid.

He actually jumped up onto brocks shoulders to help Brock out! What a generous guy

So is Enzo going to be the wrestler who moves up the most the next time we do rankings?

If all he does is deliver a great promo, then get squashed, then no.

If you didn't already know Enzo could talk, then you weren't ranking him properly. He's going to be awesome on the mic (and mediocre in the ring) in this little feud and then disappear until they find something for him to do, and then he's going to be awesome on the mic and mediocre in the ring during that.

Him scoring a huge upset win over Miz would be spicy, not that there's any justification for having him get a title shot at anything ever so we have to get to that point first.

General ability to talk is only one part of the equation in the scripted era. Giving him an actually likable underdog character would go a long way toward actually utilizing that talent beyond the goddamn entrance stuff.

I honestly don't even know if Enzo can wrestle, because I can't remember a match where he was given a chance to.

Minor nit, but you're describing an Intracontinental Championship. Although I'm guessing Enzo could be confused about it also.

If you're gonna go for the minor nit, you're better off being correct.
