I've got the same 3 but I switched dar0 and LKJ. All 3 cards are solid but LKJ lost points for Goldberg/Kane receiving second billing and dar0 lost them for wasting Hall on that tag match. With that said, Judy is the only one to have a main event/co-main event combo to rival teejay.

Some facemelting matches here though.

I cannot argue that teejays card has the best wrestling matches, but I think LKJ is making the most money.

1) LKJ
2) teejay
3) wesrwood

Im still waiting on Burdz. I dont know how long we want to wait, but if you want to start sending in votes to me thats fine. We will go with a 5pts for 1st, 3 pts for 2nd and 1 pt for 3rd. If you want to add in other awards thats cool, but nothing mandatory. I guess we will leave this open until Sunday night or everyone involved in the draft votes. Whichever comes first

I figure sending them into me keeps everything a bit cleaner and makes it easier to tally so I dont miss anything. I do like the idea of discussing cards publicly and even individual matches.

Okay, I sent them to you.

As I said, teejayC by a mile. I like LKJ's main event better by quite a bit, but darO's card is better from top to bottom.

Don't know who fourth place is, but it's considerably below the top three.

If you guys want to vote for the franchise with HBK as it's top face, thats on you

HBK is fine as top face for one night when he's facing peak Ric Flair. If we were making an entire promotion instead of just one show I'd have drafted completely differently.

Auto-disqualified for using Tommy Dreamer as anything other than maybe a plant in the audience. Not a plant who actually does anything, but just a plant who vaguely appears in the corner of the screen sometimes.

JKL has best roster and **** card

Goldberg v Austin as the main event would be emormous, have hart v Benoit in a submission ironman match or something, let kane face Umaga

Just a poor poor effort on his part

That would be like a 7 minute main event at best. There would be almost zero offense.

As explained in the draft thread, I don't buy that Austin vs. Inferior Austin Pseudo-Lookalike actually comes off well.

Kane vs Umaga would either be heel vs heel or a weakened version of Kane.

Bret vs Benoit in that lengthy Nitro tribute match to Owen wasn't very good. Granted that I could de-age Bret back to his peak and make it quite a bit better, but it doesn't really appeal to me.

If I'm going to use Bret against someone he already faced IRL, I'm going to put him against one of the guys he had five-star classics with (Austin, Owen) rather than put him against someone who he didn't manage a great match with in hopes that it would be better this time.

I think it comes down to what your criteria is....which was left purposely open ended.

You'd be shocked how many people call that the best Nitro match ever and a 5* match but I definitely agree with you. Epitome of boring.

I don't mind Austin vs Goldberg as the main event. Hogan/Andre was the most important match in history and was -****

Though I didn't know that there were a bunch of people who said that about Bret vs. Benoit, I'm not particularly surprised. That's the quintessential match where a person feels like they should like it, so they do. Obviously I'm one of the bigger Owen marks there is and was certainly a big fan of both Bret and Benoit, so the ingredients were there, but it was just meh. If Bret and Benoit were happy with it then that's cool, good enough for me, but I don't really care to watch it again.

I mean clearly Goldberg/Austin wouldn't have been a great match, but rock/hogan at WM was pretty bad too

At their peaks Austin and Goldberg WERE wrestling. A match between the 2 in their prime would be the biggest match in history with an impact I would argue greater than that of rock/hogan

It would be a face vs. face match where the crowd would be intended to be split, but almost any crowd would tilt at least 3:1 in Austin's favor. Obviously you put Austin over in that spot without any question. The match would basically serve to deconstruct the casual fan's notion that Goldberg was awesome, because the whole thing would be an exercise in Goldberg publicly looking in the mirror and seeing another white bald dude with a goatee and black trunks who happens to be 20 billion times better than him at every aspect of professional wrestling outside of "being physically huge."

If Goldberg is helping me make money, I'd rather exploit him for continued gain rather than expose him.

Both arguments are valid because there's no criteria on how we should vote on these cards. Goldberg/Austin would no doubt be the biggest money maker but if you're taking the business approach into account then you also have to acknowledge Goldberg's refusal to job to anyone clean and Goldberg going over Austin would be a tragedy. I also don't think long term plans should factor since you were building a card, not a roster.

For a one time card with a goal to purely make money, Goldberg/Austin is a no brainer but if the goal was to make the most entertaining event then I like LKJ's decision. Kane is an opponent that Goldberg can have a quick 5 min match, hit his offense, go over and leave the crowd happy while Austin obviously gets a better and longer match.
