TBH, Clay's finisher of a flying body press from like 3 inches off the ground is stupid. At least give him a big splash or some sort of powerslam/spinebuster that looks legit. I thought his matches against Xtian weren't awful last year, is he regressing because of his gimmick?

If by gimmick you mean he basically hasnt wrestled in 6 months and what he has was just uber short squashes then yeah.

He needs a solid month in FCW, a new finisher and a bunch of new suplexes as he should be doing his best Tazmaniac impression half the time. But whats dumb is this **** should have been sorted when he was held off TV and didnt redebut until over a month after his first promoted return. I understand that not everyone can perform in the big leagues like they can in the gym or even in FCW but jesus its clear that goes beyond that. The last thing ive heard about talent development was they werent bringing people up until they were ready for a good run with a long term plan for them and so far its clear they havent come close to sticking to that idea.

I think Punk and D-Bry retain until Mania where Punk beats Jericho and Bryan loses to Sheamus

As much as I think Sheamus is a great face, I really don't want him to have a title right now. I don't know why. I just think he's a better chaser than a champion. It's actually the same way I feel about Punk, but heel Punk as a champ could wow me again.

I think Sheamus would gain more from an Austin finish where he passes out in the LaBell without tapping or takes some elbows to the head or whatever than he would get from beating Bryan and winning the title and i damn well think Bryan would gain more from that than going under. His reign is just dawning and his character is just beginning to form, holding the title for a few months, maybe as long as Summerslam, means you can do literally anything you want with him and he will be ****ing legit forever.

But i still think the most likely outcome is i shed a tear as he drops to Sheamus, gets moved to Raw and then gets fed to Cena as the entire IWC crosses their fingers that his character and momentum survives such a terrible couple months until his inevitable feud with Punk starts.

Sheamus is obviously going to have some part in the ppv, I think it would be better for him to be on commentary during both the chamber matches rather then just have him win a 2 minute squash match.

I really like that idea. Obviously the focus would be on who he would be challenging and would really build some anticipation for his choice.

Is this what the Cena/Kane ambulance match is going to be like?

No pinfalls in ambulance matches, just shove them into the ambulance. They might not even have any of it inside of the ring just to minimize the risk of injury

I usually love gimmick matches like ambulance matches and stuff, but I have a feeling this is gonna be of blueboy quality.

What are the odds of Ron Paul interfering on Kane's behalf?

I haven't missed a WWE PPV for a year.

Might have to give this one a pass.

If its that short im happy.

Fwiw i am excited for the event even though it has so much potential to piss me off hard. The Elimination Chambers is one of my favourite gimmicks and they would basically have to replicate Royal Rumble 2012 to get me to hate it even if i completely disagree with the booked winners.

Seriously, Bryan loses and i riot!

Yeah any other booking than Punk or Jericho winning the Raw chamber and Bryan winning the SD chamber is just lol.

surely barrett wouldnt be too horrible if it sets up barrett/sheamus and henry/bryan

probably not ideal to guys that arent super barrett marks, but not ridiculously bad.

Why would anyone choose Barrett/Sheamus in order to get Henry/Bryan? Both as a fan but also as a writer/booker/creative person in the WWE it just makes no sense.

Unless they go with some completely random swerve then its either Bryan goes over or some heel such as Henry stomps all over Santino and takes his place to win. I cant see Show going over as failing to win the title is the entire point of his current character arc, Cody and Barrett dont add anything over Bryan and its obv not going to be Khali.

i could def see barrett winning and prolly wouldn't mind it too much. maybe something like show, bryan and barrett being the last 3, bryan eliminates show dirty, bryan's celebrating, show obliterates him, barrett gets the cover. sheamus v barrett, show v bryan at WM

plus an ireland v england co-main event could be pretty amusing

barrett's been on a decent push lately and has been feuding on and off with sheamus for ages. he counters sheamus well and is great on the mic.

meanwhile henry/bryan have unfinished business and would be able to work a great match at wm without a belt. im not sure what barrett falls back to if he doesnt win at ec.

look bryan is the better option right now, and obviously noone outside of those 2 make any sense at all, but the other line does make sense too.

Wade Barrett should not be in one of the main events at Wrestlemania. He just shouldn't even be in the discussion, even if we're talking about the watered down title scene and tri-main event at 'Mania. The guy is good, but if they are so sloppy as to put him in a WHC match at the biggest show of the year, it proves once and for all that WWE books by throwing darts at the wall.

whc is at best the 4th biggest match at this wm. it might even curtain jerk again.

The E already proved they're throwing darts at the wall when they decided to cut off the nose to spite the face and have sheamus win the rumble instead of Jericho just to swerve. Now instead of a bunch of logical programs including show v Bryan for the belt you're forced to throw sheamus into a title match cold and hope the program works out of thin air. Either u put him against Bryan at the expense of a solid show/Bryan program or u put him up against Barrett to keep the Bryan/show program going and randomly have Barrett/sheamus. HHH pretty much proved he's the WOAT yet again and should have no say at all in booking
