You just need enough room to lunge forward, lunge backward, and your wing span. I would say the position that requires the most space is when you are on hands and knees with one arm fully extended out front and the opposite leg fully extended behind you. From this position, you also extend one arm out to the right or left, and the opposite leg to the opposite side.
I started following the schedule initially, but decided to just freeball it. There were just too many days off on the Beginner schedule. He says you can do multiple workouts in a day -- just listen to your body and don't overdo it.
I've been strictly following the schedule. Gets you through 39 weeks in the book. Quit lifting weights entirely since I started, but may add that back in once a week during an off day. Got through my first ENERGY today without modifying a single time.....although my legs were shaking for a half hour afterward.
Did my first Fat Burner yesterday. Expected it to be tougher than Energy, but it wasn't....at least for me. Got through it just modifying the last pushup. I guess it's really a matter of how someone's built which sessions are going to be more or less difficult. For me it's staying in the supported lunge for extended periods that's been the toughest so far.
Anyway, still loving the DDPYoga. Highly recommend it for anyone still on the fence. I've told a few people that were looking for something but had no time because of kids that they can pretty much just do it with the kids a couple days a week.
Ending on a funny note, I now find myself randomly doing diamond cutters when I'm bored or zoning out, sometimes even in public if I'm not paying attention.

You are not alone. I have been got caught "hulking it up" many times.
This is a good page to like on Facebook - "the four horsemen". They have some good old school stories and interviews. This is one with DDP about the Macho Man:
Scott Hall will not be appearing at Saturday's Big Time Wrestling convention and show at Newark, CA High School that includes such names as Ric Flair, Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Godfather and many others.
Hall was scheduled for the convention and to manage his son, Cody Hall. Scott texted promoter Kirk White and said he was in a dark place and refused to get out of bed for Cody and for DDP, who tried to get him to fulfill his booking. Cody Hall did make the trip and will be on the show Saturday night.
I was watching a WCW ppv yesterday (Starrcade 96) and only then put together that DDP had managed Hall in the early 90's when Hall was "The Diamond Studd". Sad, I know.
I remember Kevin Nash writing an extensive note saying that Hall suffers from PTSD and that it's always been at the core of his substance abuse issues. Intuitively I would think that makes him a higher relapse risk. Hopefully just a rough patch and nothing he can't overcome.
God damn ****ing Broken Airplane! End up smashing my face into the floor every time.
Just finished the 13 week beginner schedule in the book. Think I'm going to stretch it out over half a year instead of moving up now redoing weeks 7-13 and then weeks 8-13. That should get me a full year out of beginner and intermediate.
It's amazing how I'm breezing through stuff I used to have to modify to get through in April.
How easy is it to get the right form? I mentioned DDPyoga to my wife and she said that you probably need to be in a class so yhe instructor can correct your form.
I wouldn't really be concerned about that. He repeatedly says to make it your own and it's all normal people doing the workouts. I get a lot out of it without professional instruction.
Just finished the 1st 13 week program and Holy Balls at that Diamond Cutter workout! Everything else was 20-30 minutes and then 50 for this. Wasn't that bad at first, but I was about to collapse with 10 minutes left. Went to my knees on the 2nd 5 count push up and then sat on my couch and laughed at the 10 count one.
