I thought the Cena stuff was good for a time but I got bored after 5-10 minutes of it. So bored idk what the finish was because I started doing other ****.

I’m relatively sure that it didn’t have a finish. It just faded to black at some point.

Watch very little wrestling anymore. For reference of where I am, I caught the Rumble and subscribe to r/SquaredCircle, but was genuinely puzzled at who the guys the street preachers were fighting, and had no idea Goldberg was back, much less that he was a champion of anything. I'm most caught up with NXT.

-KO/Rollins best match of night 1. Sami/Bryan close 2nd. I had no idea Sami was IC champ, or about the stable, or that Gulak and Bryan were buds. The IC belt looks dumb.

- Becky winning is predictable and dumb, and the disbelief look every time someone kicks out of a pin is annoying.

- The ladder match was odd and quite obviously edited heavily. I'd have rathered see all 6 guys in the match, though I understand that the circumstances may have prevented that.

-Goldberg... smh. Who thought this was a good idea? What was the plan for Braun before Roman pulled out? He's just going to feed the title to Roman at the first opportunity, right?

- Boneyard was reasonable, I guess? Kind of expected Kane to come out and level the playing field at some point once the brothers showed up, but alright.

--Night Two--

- Thought it was dumb that Ripley didn't win. No real need for Charlotte to win there. Seems like Ripley is the next female star, so I'd imagine that feud just carries forward and Ripley gets it back later?

- On the same idea, Becky's gimmick is getting tired and the fact that she's been the champ forever and is supposedly THE MAN but is obv scared of everybody and has this internal conflict about whether she's good enough or whatever the ****... zzzzzz. Seems like she's gone through everybody, by my understanding, and that there's not really anything left for her to do if Rousey isn't around; seems as though they've written themselves in to a corner. Women's roster is super deep and was the really compelling stuff for me and it seems like the 3 champs have laid waste to everybody and there's nothing left but each other. Unless Ripley goes to one of Raw or SD, but then what from kayfabe, since she just lost to Charlotte?

- Aleister Black back to NXT ASAP. Show needed Adam Cole and Keith Lee.

- Skipped past Edge/Orton, mostly due to the match format, a minute at a time, and it still bored me. That must have been a 45 minute long match. Goldberg's dressing room is definitely the same room as the boardroom that those two fought in.

- Why is Sonya on Dolph's side here? What are her motivations? It's certainly not romantic, given both the fact that she tried to set up Dolph with Mandy, and that they've acknowledged her sexuality on-screen. Maybe I missed something in the video package leading up to the match. Regardless, the payoff to that match and feud kind of need the crowd, or the feelgood story of fat guy getting a dime sort of doesn't work.

- Thought the Firefly thing was great. Took me a minute to realize that it wasn't going to be an actual match, but rather just a cinematic thingy. I'd say it was the highlight of night 2 by a pretty wide margin. Reading between the lines, with Cena disappearing at the end, is he retired, more or less? Nobody is ever fully gone, it seems, but I think the segment touched on all of Cena's biggest fears or regrets from within the business (prototype, failed rapper, turning heel vs. staying face); I kind of liken this as a bit of a passing of the torch, now the he's gone doing other things like movies and growing his hair.

- Is Brock really that limited in what he can do? Surely to god Drew isn't. I don't see any legitimate reason that Brock can't just do a normal match instead of BTB*17, F5*4 and then decide

People whose matches suffered due to empty arena (no crowd pop):
Drew
Otis
Edge

People whose match was enhanced the most:
Taker/AJ
Bray/Cena
KO/Seth (had more of a real fight feel)

Whether or not it was strictly the best match, the Boneyard Match will be the thing I remember about this Mania.

Watched Taker/AJ and Bray/Cena this morning.

Not really sure what to think of those. I guess I was mostly entertained, but at the same time, it goes against the established universe of Wrestlemania being a show about wrestling.

It's pretty well known that Brock enjoys working with work rate guys like AJ, Finn, and Bryan. With big guys (Braun, Roman, Drew) he does the formulaic BTB/F5 match.

I thought Edge/Orton was going to be the best match on the card. It ended up being the worst.
