Round 11, Pick 7:

Spoiler:
Frank Gotch

The first American to win the World Heavyweight Championship, Frank Gotch popularized professional wrestling in the United States. During his five year reign as Champion, Gotch became one of the most popular athletes of the early 20th century, rivalling that of boxing legend John L. Sullivan. Gotch's publicity led to professional wrestling becoming a mainstream attraction.

Round 12, Pick 1:

Spoiler:
Trish Stratus

Stratus began her career as eye-popping eye candy during the height of the Attitude Era, and would end it as one of the more popular wrestlers in the WWE. Over the course of her career she developed into a very competent in-ring performer and won the WWE's Women's Championship a record seven times.

Ha, did not see that you deleted, but yeah I picked while iso's post passing to me was still live. There was no mistake this time.

Yankeys kinda stepped on my next pick, but whatever...

Round 12, Pick 2:

Spoiler:

”Sensational” Sherri Martel

Inducted by: Shawn Michaels

Remembered by most as a high-profile manager across four different promotions, most notably with Randy Savage following his 1989 heel turn, Sherri was also arguably the best female wrestler of her era, winning the AWA Women’s title three times and holding the WWF Women’s title for over a year. As a manager, her credibility as a wrestler allowed her to believably take an active role in interfering on behalf of her clients in matches, something that was just not done by women of that era. Her role in one of the greatest WrestleMania moments ever, the reuniting of Savage and Miss Elizabeth at WM7, should never be understated.

Time to start my women’s division. I was considering taking an active wrestler here, but I’m not sure how that would play with everyone, so I decided to go with the most recognizable female wrestler. Or at least the most controversy free one, anyway. This is a woman who wrestled for many years dating back to the 40’s and was still somewhat active during the Attitude Era. It was her charisma and toughness that endeared her to fans of all ages and even led to the WWE to name their Women’s tournament after her.

With my next pick, I select:

Spoiler:
Mae Young

Next pick:

Spoiler:

Jesse Ventura's in-ring career would never have made him HOF-worthy, but I've got him as the best color commentator of all time. Not only the best, but also a real pioneer, as the notion of the heel commentator who really took it to the face commentator was barely a thing (if at all) before Jesse took the reigns and GOATed it up.

He'll be inducted by Alex Jones or someone, I dunno.

Wasn't sure if I wanted to go solo here, but I decided that just going with the singles wrestler didn't whelm me, so instead I'll take one of the best tag teams of recent-ish vintage.

Spoiler:

Edge and Christian, as much as anyone else, made the TLC-era tag division as much, if not more, than anyone else. Throw in a couple of good singles careers (Edge especially could go in alone, somewhere, maybe), and here you go.

We'll get Lita to come do the job. And also induct them.

Spoiler:

Crush Gals

Nagayo Chigusa and Lioness Asuka, collectively known as the Crush Gals, were huge phenomenon in Japan, having popularity comparative to Hulk Hogan. As well as being amongst the best women's wrestlers at the time, they were famous pop stars, releasing several top 10 hits in Japan.

There are countless themes I could use to introduce my next inductee, let's go with:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCu4wXgGQz0

Spoiler:

Jim Johnston

A wrestler's entrance music can play a huge part in helping them get over with the crowd, and Johnston composed the vast majority of themes in the WWF/E from 1985 until 2014. He was also in charge of providing the soundtrack for TV and PPVs. Johnston has created the music of many wrestlers picked in this draft including such iconic themes as Stone Cold's, The Undertaker's, Mr Perfect's and Brock Lesnar's.

Antonio Inoki
The Undertaker
Mick Foley
Kurt Angle
Classy Freddie Blassie

While El Santo is the consensus GOAT luchador, Blue Demon is not far behind. He's an in-ring legend who also played in numerous films, so he was a pop culture phenomenon in general (like El Santo). I may not be winning this draft in general, but in Mexico I'm crushing.

I guess it’s on me.

Time to open the final wing in my HoF, and it’s going to be the Celebrity Wing. Don’t worry though this won’t be a big wing because my standards are ridiculously high to enter. No fly by night celebrities that only show up on shows to promote something. You need to positively contribute to the business to even get a sniff. With that said, I’ll stick with the theme of grabbing the person who I think was the best ever. This celebrity took to the business and understood it on a level never seen by a celebrity before or after. His feud with Jerry Lawler is still talked about withalmost a mythological statue. He was so good at being a heel that is was actually causing his first career some damage, but even that didn’t stop this man from being the greatest Intergender Champion of all time.

With my next selection for the HoF, I will take:

Spoiler:
Andy Kaufman
