Very basic spreadsheet. If someone wants to create a more detailed one that'd be great, but for now I'm just going to use this.

+1 to this. Write-ups are important, but if you're on your phone or something and can't post a detailed one, at least write your pick's name in bold.

Even though I'm in the middle, +1 to the sentiment.

How many rounds is this going to be?

I'm not sure. I'll make a post at the end of each round with who's been picked.

There's no set amount. People can go as long as they want.

I'll take The Rock. You can just see by the reactions he gets today that he would draw all of the dimes.

Spoiler:

The Conqueror. The Beast. The one and only Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar is the perfect wrestler to be the face of a company in 2017, for one reason in particular. He's believable. Fans in 2017 know more about the business than at any time in history. They know that it's fake. They know that the matches are predetermined. Yet with Brock Lesnar, it still feels real. And why shouldn't it? He is the former UFC Heavyweight Champion of the World. When Brock Lesnar is in a match, his opponents look like they are in serious pain, and it's because they likely are. Wrestling is not cool in 2017. It's not like in 1998 when it was the thing everyone watched and talked about. Today in the mainstream wrestling is looked down upon. People are often made fun of for being wrestling fans. No one is made fun of for being a Brock Lesnar fan. His biggest drawback is that he is not a full time wrestler, well that's not an issue in this scenario. Brock Lesnar will be on my show each and every week suplexing people all across the ring. The only problem I might have is finding people believable enough for him to face.

Team so far:
Brock Lesnar

Not hating on the pick since it seems fine, but the reasoning is totally wrong. People give "you've still got it" chants to <undrafted, sorry> for successfully punching someone a few times. I assume for purposes of this draft that the person actually has to get over from scratch and doesn't just get the built-in nostalgia to start off.

I think I'm misunderstanding this draft. How is Stone Cold not the clear #1?

Also are 2002-04 Bork and 2012-present Bork not separate picks? I know it's the same gimmick but I assumed enough time has passed to distinguish them?

I mean maybe I'm wrong but I'd say late 90s wrestling was awesome because of Stone Cold (and others) not vice versa. It's not like wrestling was just cool and he was a beneficiary of that; he made it cool. Obviously booking played a part too but I take it we don't have to use the 2017 WWE booking team.

I'm going with Mr. Wrestlemania himself.

Shawn Michaels.

One of the greatest in ring workers of all time who can wrestle anyone, in any match and make it a classic. He has enough edge and spunk to get over in 2017 and could play a great baby face or heel.

Who could get over in 2017?

How about someone that still gets chants in 2017 despite never appearing in the company since the 2014 Royal Rumble?

On the microphone, in the ring, even on commentary. No one can touch him.

CM Punk

teejayC- Brock in his first run is still available, it's a different enough gimmick.

TimmayB will take over for disko.

Ok cool. And he's already over when you get him right because of his previous run and UFC career? Like they still existed? Sorry for all the questions, I think that's it.
