That was tremendous.

By the way, to the company's credit, they seem to have scaled way back on the finisher kickouts at a major PPV tonight.

amazing how much the last match can alter your opinion of a show. i thought it was a complete dud until then, but now i'm pretty pleased

Since jon jones said he wanted to face brock lesnar part of me thought he was losing so he could leave and train for ufc.

Final match was a lot of fun, everything else was the usual.

I'm fine with the finish but god damn how big of a pop if BRAUN wins? Crowd wanted it so bad

I just thought he was going to lose because he only had a 25% chance.

I'm glad I missed everything but the last five or so minutes of Nakamura/Jinder and the main event . Seems like a solid decision was made.

He can still easily train with his WWE schedule. Jones/Lesnar is obviously going to happen sometime next year. Perhaps for their big December show.

Thankfully, my feed actually worked for the last match. Really good match. Braun looked gassed as hell, though.

I don't think Brock's sold like that for anyone since returning. Great way to set those two up for Mania. Can we book Stroman for the RR win now?

They looked gassed. They worked their asses off

Pretty amazing that Cole saved maybe his worst performance for the main event. Listen to how unenthusiastic he is after a couple of the finishers that didn't end the match, it's almost like he knew.

When you listened to J.R during the AE you forgot that what you were watching was scripted. His call felt authentic, like he was reacting genuinely to what he was seeing. I know it's not fair to hold Cole to the standard of the GOAT, but he is so far on the other side of the spectrum. The stupid nicknames for every little move (poetry in motion, drive-by, etc), it's just impossible to watch a match without feeling the fakeness and scriptedness of it all.

Great matches like tonight's main can overcome it, but it really makes it hard for the average match to seem even passable.

Epic main event. Really pleased with the show as a whole as it really didn't seem to drag on superflously at all. Being there the entire show flew by. Was genuinely surprised by a majority of the results and I consider that a good thing.

The pre show was really strong and the New Day-Usos match was fantastic.

Burying of Corbin made me smile. Burying of Rusev made me sad.

Ya I mean Cena is an all-time great and Corbin sucks, I'm glad they treated them as such. Rusev should be treated better but we've known that for like 3 years now. I would love for someone in creative to explain why they think he would be worse at doing what Jinder is currently doing.

god. just when i was ready to quit WWE for a few years, they put out that match. This PPV was one of the worst in a LONG time but damnit if that finale didn't keep me tuned in for a bit longer. sigh

just hit me that both Corbin and Rusev are on Smackdown. Feel like SD was already lacking main event level heels and now they just **** all over 2 potential ones. Who's left besides KO and lolJinder?

I guess a shake-up could be coming, but yikes, as it stands now SD is a mess.

need to combine rosters ASAP and instead of treating SD as a throwaway show where nothing happens; use it to actually develop and advance storylines. Plenty enough talent to fill both shows

There was a rumor a few weeks ago that there's a shake-up coming within a couple of weeks of the conclusion of SummerSlam.

Wasn't last year's shakeup after Summerslam? Also, there's supposed to be a round of call-ups from NXT. Roode, in particular, is supposedly going to get a big push.

I don't watch NXT weekly but based on Takeover my guess was that at least Roode and Ember Moon were getting called up, maybe AOP and Itami. Is Chris Hero injured?

Any matches other than the main and tag match I should check out? I saw what happened to Rusev on Twitter, I hate what they've done to him. I want to see him in Japan.

You can pretty much stick to those two and not miss much.

I just watched the CW match and thought it was ok. Neville is still one of the best on the roster right now.

Oh yeah, others really talked up the pre-show stuff and I hadn't tuned in yet. Had forgotten that existed. Guess the New Day/Usos tag match is supposed to be really good too.

Yeah I've got some monotonous work to do on the computer so I'm just letting it run in the background, caught most of that match and enjoyed it. The Enzo stuff was brutal and the difference in pops between this year in Brooklyn and last year was huge. He must done. On the tag match now.
