All-Time Wrestling Promo Draft Thread - Page 5 - Wrestling -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

My first pick was more about the moment itself than the actual quality of the promo. This time I select two of the greatest on the stick doing what they do best; this one is all about the entertainment value. However it does also have the added bonus of being the long anticipated WWF debut of one of the biggest talents the industry has ever seen, as well as the debut of one of the greatest ever catchphrases.

I figured I'd comment on the Jericho debut too... I think the only great part of that is the opening pop. The whole saving the WWF from becoming boring bit didn't really land. It honestly probably turned out better for The Rock.

I've been waiting to post. Sorry to report that my next pick also isn't on youtube. I think WWE has gone nuts with youtube removals because I remember it being on there at one point.

Sorry about another dailymotion link, but if you are having issues with ads look into an ad block add on for your browser. There's no reason to not have one anyways.

With my next pick I grab something from a guy who is not known for cutting good promos. This one, however, set up the angle of the year in the WWF. It's also much better than a promo from earlier in the year that will get picked because the guy said "Bull****" on live tv.

One of the best works from one of the best talkers. This is an iconic moment in wrestling history. This is Attitude Era before there was an Attitude Era.

Pillman has a gun is such an edgy promo and true essence of the Attitude Era. Pillman was one of the greatest on the mic we have seen. I think he would be all over this draft if he lived longer

I think this fell a little too far. It's hopelessly dated but it is the highest rated wrestling segment in cable history. That must count for something right?
