For purposes of this draft, a promo is defined as any non-match segment that involves more talking than action. The runtime of a segment is irrelevant. You get the whole thing, no matter how long or short. You are not required to provide video, but good ****ing luck impressing us nearly as much without it.

The clock runs during the hours from 10 a.m. EST to 10 p.m. EST. Each drafter will get four hours on the clock before being skipped. If you are skipped, you'll be on auto-skip until you make your next selection. Getting skipped more than once will reduce your clock for the remainder of the draft. The draft end of day is slightly flexible in that if your clock would run out at 10:06 p.m. then I'm probably just going to make that be the end of your clock, and if it runs then the next person can go. But 10-10 is the general guideline.

The draft order is as follows:

3. Dylan
4. LKJ
5. DWetzel/True North
6. Burdzthewurd
7. teejayC
8. DarO

It will be a normal snake draft from beginning to end. Each drafter will get 10 picks unless people agree to lengthen the draft later.

Because we're starting earlier than initially stated in the signup thread, I won't officially start running a clock until 2:00 p.m. EST, but Judy is free to draft starting immediately, as is littlekeed after him, etc.

+1. The best drafters give a good writeup with their pick. Obviously this isn't a rule that can really be enforced or anything, but **** if I for one am calling your draft the best without good pick writeups.

What other way to start a Promo draft than with "The Promo" or "The Shoot"



I wanted to go two ways with this pick. I decided on this one cause there is no way it makes it back to me.

This promo single handily gave Punk credibility with Vince and Triple H. It gave him credibility with the casual fans.

It reminded us of the worked shoots from the Attitude Era. As Kevin Nash put it. It made wrestling fun again.

It was definitely Punk's finest promo to date, and will prove to have at least minor historical significance if not major historical significance, but I dunno. Anyway not a bad pick, just not what I would have done.

I went with recency bias. I also screw myself in these for going old school. Also in before hawk yells at me for my pick. He hasnt responded to me and wasnt going to hold up the draft

I think there's 4 legitimate top 4 picks, and that was one of them. Of course, I'd say that since I'm picking 5th.

I have a few ideas rattling around in my head for my pick but I have no idea where these confident top tiers are that people are referencing. I wouldn't be surprised if people were talking about different ones.

Also it's nice to see that me and DWetzel/TN are right next to each other again for maximum sniping potential.

Hmn... went back and watched undrafted and while it starts strong it gets tiresome. Gonna take 5 more minutes then going with probably something conventional.
