I can't immediately think of a theme that fit a wrestler any more than this one. This guy epitomized energy and loudness and run to the ring and freak the **** out always. Yeah, his matches were literally all the same, and he had four moves, but we don't care about that. Because this guy was over as ****.

The themes that come to mind right away for me are ones where you know what the crowd reaction is going to be after one or two notes. I hope that makes sense. I'll use drafteds as an example: With the Undertaker, it's *GONG* and you know what you're getting. With Flair, it's "WOOO" and you know what you're getting.

Well with my guy, it's the quick note that's very difficult to verbalize to a typed word. But you know.

And it builds.

And builds.

And then it's time to run to the ****ing ring and let's go we're going to gorilla press slam some fools.

If there's an example of a theme song actually getting someone over, and not the other way around, this is as far as I can go to allow such a notion.

Again, I'm a huge believer that the theme is simply a tool to help, and that is the absolute furthest I will allow this conversation to go.

But I will also be god damned if this guy didn't have multiple situations over his career where his theme/titantron didn't have huge implications on the entire show.

It doesn't matter if we're talking about mystery, about excitement, about confusion, or about a "well I know exactly what this is going to turn in to, let's just get on with it please" kind of thing.

Again, I'm talking about a theme that incites a big reaction. I'm talking about a theme that lets us, as the viewer, know that something good* is about to happen. I'm talking about a theme that introduces a rockstar, yet somehow isn't written by that very rockstar. I'm talking about a theme that has a 8 second intro that is infinitely more important than the remaining 4-ish minutes (not that the rest isn't great).
