All-Time Promo Draft Signup Thread - Wrestling -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

I can run it; whatever, that's not much of a job. If we get 8+ interested people then I think we can make this go.

The idea would just be to draft the very best set of wrestling promos/interviews throughout history.

Rule and guideline suggestions more than welcome.

Are vignettes going to count? Also is there going to be a minimum time needed for it to count?

Will we need to find video for the promo? Some sick promos from late 70s early 80s where its hard to find videos

I'll join. Only rule I'd suggest is one wrestler per team, so no taking two Flair promos for example.

Totally willing to hear more arguments here. My only fear is that this turns into the greatest hits of Flair, Austin, and Rock. As much as I like those guys, I want to hear some good stuff from potentially unlikely sources which becomes tough to do when the 30th best Rock segment is still better than what pretty much all other wrestlers have to offer.

So what do we do with promos featuring more than one person prominently? It's not like The Rock just went out and cut 10-minute promos and left, he had someone to work with.

LKJ said he wanted 8 or 10 so lets have a few more jump in so we can start this. The draft is super deep so I think a normal snake draft will work. Also I would vote for a short clock because like I said this draft is deep as hell so it won't really be too big of a deal if you get skipped.

If we have to go with seven, I'm sure we can still do it well. But the thread hasn't been up 8 hours yet. I will randomize the draft order and start the draft at ~5:00 tomorrow or when 10 people are in, whichever comes first.

I just PM'd moorobot because he's always fun in these drafts, so it would be cool if he participated.
